Iβve dined at Gold Leaf on Burwood Highway for both dim sum and dinner. The dim sum offers a classic, old-school experience with traditional carts rolling around, letting you choose dishes on the spot. Quality can be hit-or-miss. Some dishes are good, while others are just average.
For dinner, we tried their Peking duck promotion ($49.80 for a whole duck), which includes 16 pancake wraps and a stir fried duck dish with bean sprouts. This was definitely a highlight, good value and delicious. The other dishes we ordered, fried calamari, stir-fried kailan, and honey beef were ordinary and didnβt particularly stand out.
On a bright side, thereβs plenty of onsite parking.

cant go wrong with yum cha
the place gets packed out! definitely need to book ahead to make sure you get seating - especially if you are going in a large group!
overall food and experience was good!
lighting was a bit dark.. despite all the windows and natural light coming in it still feels 'dark'
place looks outdated

First time eating here , we didnβt know we can book a table in advance, coz back in Brisbane most of yum cha place does not accept reservation at all and to be honest, the food was amazing except sweet bean curd ; it tastes terrible. Waiting time was ok for Monday then we expected. Overall , good place for yum cha just bit pricey

Gold Leaf never disappoints. Always delivers good food every time we visit.

Food is agreeable, decidedly average for a Chinese restaurant. There's a huge range to order from, but unfortunately, I didn't order any outstanding dishes. The wait staff were friendly and obliging. The decor is average. Overall, a very average experience all around, wouldn't mind visiting again if I'm in the area but not a place I'll go out of the way for.
