My partner and I went to Publique Bakery today to try some Melbourne style pastries. We did get a little lost trying to find it, but it didn’t take long to get there in the end. The outdoor seating was a bit lacklustre but it still had very Melbourne vibes. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a beautiful display of bread stacked along the walls. The service was fine, the staff were nice, just a little reserved and quiet. There was a great selection of pastries and they were all really unique. My partner and I ordered the blueberry danish and the raspberry danish and oh. my. GOD. Absolute heaven. It genuinely felt like I’d stepped into a Melbourne patisserie and somehow ended up in France. We’ll definitely be back to try more, thank you guys!

Visited in the morning on a weekday; pretty quiet, no queue. As pointed in many other reviews, seatings are not available but there are some communal seatings within walking distance. Went for moka croissant and raspberry danish - both were absolutely divine. The lamination on the croissant was perfect and the filling was very generous.

such a lovely spot! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or coffee break. Their pastries are fresh and delicious. The coffee is great too, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!

📍Publique Bakery, 18 Blender La, Melbourne VIC 3000 @publiquebakery This is my regular go to French style artisan patisserie shop in Melbourne🥰🥐 it is very close to Queen Victoria Market! I love their tiramisu pastries and their danishes are also very fresh! Not to miss their famous pistachio cronut! Everything looks and tastes good✨ Save this for later🍀

Publique Bakery - Basque Cheesecake $11 🧀 - Egg Benedict Danish $10.5 🍳⭐️ - Blueberry Danish $11 🫐⭐️ - Pistachio Cronut $11🥐 - Wholemeal Sourdough $7.5 🥖 Save this spot for your next bakery hop!!!This place is a pastry heaven with more than 30 pastries on display. The pastries were so flaky and buttery even after reheating. My favourite was the Egg Benedict Danish, the perfect breakfast treat with that rich savoury bite. The Blueberry Danish was another hit, not too sweet and perfectly balanced with the buttery layers. They also make their own sourdough so of course I had to grab a loaf to take home. Already planning my next visit to try more flavours 💛
