Exactly what every single retail strip / shopping area needs for the community. A no nonsense, honest, fresh, affordable cafe that's get the staples right. None of this social media inspired over the top baked goods.
For those complaining about staff rudeness, ignore that! 1. Staff are efficient but nice. 2. The unspoken contract is that places like these are affordable which means they run efficiently and you should not expect 3 Michelin star service.

I was weary coming as the one on Whitehorse really did not deliver. I was in a rush to get a meal and saw Anne’s Pantry in Surrey Hill and decided to give it a go. Shocked to say that it was one of the best Bahn Mis I have had. Chicken was very juice and the peanut and hoisin sauce was such a treat, the bread was extremely fresh and crunch- one of the best Bahn mi breads I have had. Glad to say I think my regular Bahn mi place will have some competition as I will definitely be adding this to my weekly rotation!

Really surprised to see some of the reviews on here.
We visited on a Saturday. Constant flow of people traffic. Good to see.
Welcoming staff. Coffee was PERFECT. Crispy pork Banh Mi was great. Spinach roll was also nice. Donuts also a hit.
We’ve recently moved to the area and will definitely add this to the roster.
Also…why are the cafes so quiet on weekends around here?? Should be bustling with all the built up residents 🤷🏻♀️

Young barista who served me this afternoon was very friendly and efficient. Her coffee was perfect and so was their banh mi. Crispy pork was spot on! Fillings were perfectly proportioned too.
