Absolutely loved this Japanese cafรฉ! I ordered the mocha and hojicha latte, both beautifully made and full of flavour. The yuzu cloud Basque cheesecake was a bit sweet for me. The tonkatsu delight and katsu kare were highlights โ the crispy fried pork was incredibly juicy and so satisfying. Everything was well presented and delicious. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I had some qualms about this place when I heard about it from a friend. Their prices are on the higher side - however, it was completely worth it!
Creamy udon- tastes just like a cream pasta but made with chewy udon noodles with fish roe ontop. Well seasoned and a hefty portion.
Their toilet is well stocked with soap and toilet paper, and well maintained. Service was fast and friendly.
Chicken karaage - well fried, not much else to say, but the tartare sauce dip makes all the difference seperating it from other places.
Katsu kare (curry) - delicious curry and soft rice as expected, but the katsu tasted like it had some addition seasoning in the batter and crumbing. The meat was slightly tougher than most other places though. I really liked the pickled garlic cloves that added a burst of sweetness when bit into.

Absolutely delicious! The beef bowl was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour. The sauce was rich but well balanced, and the egg yolk on top added an amazing creamy texture. Fresh spring onions and sesame seeds brought everything together beautifully. Presentation was lovely, portions were generous, and the overall quality was excellent. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place!

We came around 8:15am, not many people in the cafe so it felt very peaceful and relaxed.
The staff are all very friendly and answered all our queries.
We ordered:
1. Matcha latte x2: love the taste, it tastes authentic and I like the bitterness of the tea and the nice mix between the milk and matcha. The barista was very good in drawing the latter art with โno faceโ and ghost on our drinks, make me so amazed by her talent.
2. Osmanthus oolong croissant: the sweetness is not too overwhelmed, which I really like. I love how they mix between Asian flavour and European croissant together. The only downside is the croissant was cold, not as soft and crunchy like a normal one, but I understand that due to keep the cream not to melt.
3. Karaage chicken: chicken is so crunchy and nicely flavoured. Not very easy to find a place that did this dish well.
Overall, itโs a great experience, recommended! ๐๐ผโบ๏ธ

Review
My friend recommended this Japanese cafe to me, so I decided to give it a shot. Although their cheesecake is decent, their food was mediocre and rather disappointing.
I ordered the beef waygu don, and I only took three bites of my meal. The beef was slightly overcooked and off-balanced. Although I understand Japanese authentic cooking highlights the nature umami taste of the ingredients, I didnโt not appreciate the dish as it tasted greasy and fairly heavy. Normally, a Japanese restaurant would add pickled gingers or some salad as a side dish to any rice don, as it complements the rice and meat really nicely. However, Hoshino provided some mushrooms that were sweet and salty, and it didnโt help me clean my pallet.
The chef needs to work on their flavours and try to balance different ingredients.
PS: I sat in a corner in the cafe, and the wall was really dirty. The table was also very small.
