One of the best cheesecakes I had in my life. Moist and burned to perfection. Lucky there is no queue during my time. Maybe off peak hours. Staff are very attentive and allows us to sample some of the cheesecakes before purchase.

I finally visited this renowned cheesecake cafe in Melbourne! The friendly staff gave me great recommendations, and I ended up taking home a delicious German Apple Cheesecake. They do sell by slice here for certain classic flavours. It was well-made and not too sweet, will be back for more.

I found this place through a TikTok review and was instantly impressed by how the warehouse-style bakery operates, you can taste the cakes, have them sliced and weighed, and pay by the gram, just like buying deli meat! I visited on a weekend, and the place was packed — every table was full, and the queue for takeaway stretched all the way to the door. My friend said that when it first went viral, the line was two to three times longer. I tried several flavors and my top picks were Basque Cheesecake, Passion Fruit Vanilla Slice, and Pandan Basque. - Basque Cheesecake: A classic and the safest choice — rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness and texture. Excellent quality. - Passion Fruit Vanilla Slice: The passion fruit layer had a natural tang, not the artificial syrup kind. The pastry base was beautifully layered and flaky — probably the most intricate item on the menu. - Pandan Basque: The least sweet and full of that soothing pandan aroma. Super relaxing to eat! However, it’s only sold as a whole cake (AUD 38), so I didn’t get it this time since I wanted to sample multiple flavors. - Chocolate Biscuit Pudding and Goat’s Curd & Raspberry were the November limited editions. Personally, they were too sweet for me, and the goat’s curd had a slightly powdery aftertaste I didn’t enjoy. I really loved the branding and the minimalist, cozy space, it feels creative and modern. Definitely worth a visit when you’re in Melbourne; you might even walk away with some startup inspiration!

Lulu & Me has quickly become one of my go-to dessert spots — I’m now on my third visit and still looking forward to the next! One of the best things about this place is that you can taste test all the different flavors before buying — such a thoughtful touch that makes the experience even better. They offer both slices and whole cakes, which is perfect depending on whether you're just after a treat or something to share. First visit: I came with my boyfriend and we tried the Pandan cheesecake and the No Bake cheesecake. The pandan one completely blew me away — so unique and aromatic, I’d never had anything like it. The no bake was super creamy and smooth, almost like cheesecake-meets-ice-cream. Absolutely delicious. Second visit: Brought my sister, who was visiting, and we had slices of the Pandan (again!) and Basque cheesecake. The basque had that perfect caramelised top with a soft, rich centre. So good! Third visit: Came with my aunt visiting from Hong Kong and got the Basque cheesecake again — clearly a favorite in our family. The flavors are well-balanced, not overly sweet, and the quality is consistently excellent. I love sharing this place with visiting family — and I’ll definitely be back for more!

If you’re a cheese lover, this is definitely a cheesecake spot to try! We had the pandan, jelly and the September special blood orange. I’d recommend the pandan – the pandan flavour isn’t super strong but still lovely. The blood orange one was really refreshing and light, with a nice tang that cuts through the richness. The Japanese cheesecake wasn’t really my thing though. The eggy taste was a bit strong, so if you’re sensitive to that, I’d go for the other cheesecakes instead.
