Blackwork

Today I visited Blackwork Cafe for the first time as someone with coeliac disease. I had a great experience, the staff were attentive and understanding of my needs and showed confidence in their practices in the kitchen. They advised they use a seperate space for coeliac food preparation and toast the bread away from any gluten containing bread (no shared toaster). I would have liked a few more options in the lunch section, as this was very limited for gluten free, but the breakfast menu had a some great options I could chose from. I also noticed the gluten free brownies were in the same compartment on the counter as the non gluten free baked goods (side by side, as pictured), so unfortunately as someone with coeliac I would not be able to order these. However, if you are gluten intolerant only, they may be fine depending on your sensitivity. It would be great for future coeliac diners to have them kept separate so we don’t have to miss out. I was dying to try one! Overall, a great experience, the food was all delicious! highly recommend.

I love this place! I just wish it was closer to me so I can go often! I love the french toast and the tiramisu latte. My kids finished the whole plate of chicken and chips which never happened before. The fried chicken baos were great for sharing, and the food actually arrived at the same time! Just a short walk from Croydon Station is Blackwork. They serve premium coffee and offer gluten free and vegan options. The staff were friendly, fast, and welcoming, and they let us choose any seat we liked. The place is spacious and pet friendly, which makes the atmosphere even nicer. I had the chocolate hazelnut milkshake, and my partner had a fresh juice mix. We ordered the steak sanga and the hot grilled salmon, along with sides of halloumi, smashed avocado, and grilled chicken. Everything tasted great. They also have outdoor seating, and the overall experience made our brunch really enjoyable.🫶🏻

A pet-friendly café with beautiful environment. Love the delicious food there. The Affagato is just outstanding! And surprisely they have a beef liver powder Pupucinno for my dog, how creative ! will definitely visit again ☺️

Walked into this neighbourhood cafe next to a big park, very busy at 11am Sunday There weren’t enough staff to clean the table and greeting. That’s fine. We sat down outdoor, and ordered 3 drinks surprisingly good. Something unique that you can’t find elsewhere. Good portion of food. You can peaceful nature, warm sunshine and delicious food . They are dog friendly as well.
