Had an amazing experience here. The service was impeccable. The star of the show (after the delicious ghee dosa) was hands down the fresh paan! What we had- - Idli vada combo - Ghee masala dosa - Mysore masala dosa - Gobi manchurian - Filter coffee - Paan No complaints. Worth the money and tasted just like it does in India.

Amazing South Indian food. We went there twice for the breakfast. Great masala dosa, idly, filter coffee, uttapam and sweets. It’s full vegetarian. Great service, portion size and welcoming staff. There are few negative reviews here around North Indian food and late night food. So we went in the morning for breakfast and only South Indian food. And it was amazing. We did try Dosa Hut also as it’s on the same street and few meters apart. It’s just no comparison. Saravana Bhawan is super good, original South Indian food and atmosphere.

Visited Saravanaa Bhavan Melbourne and it was a solid experience. The dosas were crispy, the veg thali was filling, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. Service was quick and the place has a clean, no-fuss vibe. A great spot if you’re craving classic South Indian vegetarian food.

A satisfying South Indian feast served fresh and hot. The dosa was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, paired beautifully with flavourful sambar and a variety of chutneys. The idli was soft and fluffy, soaking up the sambar well. The vada was crisp and golden with a comforting, classic taste. The bajji/chilli fritters were crunchy and well-spiced, making a great snack alongside the meal. Overall, generous portions, authentic flavours, and a comforting traditional experience. Definitely worth trying for South Indian food lovers. 🍽️✨

Healthy food never tasted this good! All-veg, all-flavour @saravanaabhavanmelbourne @saravanaabhavanmelbourne is the ultimate spot for delicious, wholesome Indian food β€” from South Indian favourites to North Indian curries and even Indo-Chinese treats I started with their mini podi idly β€” soft, fluffy, coated with that irresistible spicy podi mix 🌢️ Then came the Mysore masala dosa, perfectly crispy on the outside and stuffed with flavourful masala inside β€” pure South Indian comfort! The Gobi 65 biriyani was such a surprise β€” packed with bold spices, crispy cauliflower, and fragrant rice that hit every note πŸ’₯ The malai kofta curry was creamy, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth good πŸ› And to top it off, a cup of Madras coffee β€” strong, aromatic, and the perfect finish What I love most? Everything is housemade with care β€” from savoury dishes to sweets β€” and you can truly taste the quality. The food is not just authentic but also healthy, delicious, and vegetarian-friendly with endless choices from South, North, and Indo-Chinese cuisines! Plus, the service is super prompt, the staff are so warm and friendly, and the whole vibe just makes you feel at home. If you’re after a flavour-packed, all-veg feast in Melbourne, Saravana Bhavan should be right at the top of your list!
