Tried all these during their promotion β€” so glad they have it! Definitely worth paying full price next time. Hainanese Chicken Rice Chicken was tender, soft and smooth with a good portion. I really loved the sauce on the chicken. Char Siew Wonton Mee The noodles and overall flavour were damn good, very similar to KL. Only downside was the char siew β€” it was all fat. Curry Laksa Not too sure about this one. It came with lala, chicken, and fried wontons, which was the best thing in the bowl. The broth tasted a bit unique β€” not quite curry and nor laksa. Bak Kut Teh with Rice The broth was rich and flavourful with lots of meat, stomach and intestine in it. Pig Stomach White Pepper Chicken Soup with Rice Loved the broth! I could honestly just have the soup with plain rice. Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken Loved the fried chicken β€” not exactly Malay-style fried chicken, but still good. The rice was aromatic too, maybe more sambal?

A true Malaysian Gem in Box Hill! Came here to capture and taste the amazing food scene in Box Hill and was absolutely blown away by Malay Kitchen! The dishes here are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious to eat. Every dish was executed with care, and the plating made for fantastic photos. The food takes me back to when I lived in Malaysia. It's so good! I want to come back at least 20 times because there was at least that many dishes that stood out to me in the menu! Be sure to save room for dessert! The refreshing Cendol is wonderful. A bustling atmosphereβ€”a definite 5-star spot for authentic, visually stunning Malaysian cuisine. Highly recommended!

Fast and cheap Malaysian food in the heart of Box Hill. Just hit the spot without any bells or whistles. Restaurant is always busy. No wonder restaurant is popular with the local uncles and aunties. They know good food when they see it.

Malay Kitchen is running a promotion to celebrate 6 year anniversary. Long queue to get in but they are very efficient. Only took 6 minutes ar the queue. One minute to order at the counter. 10 minutes for piping hot meal to arrive. Best $6.60 I have ever spent. Well worth it.

Decent Malaysian food here and they’re open until late. But the service is a bit disappointing. Our food was served to another table and sat there for 10 minutes before it was given to us. At least an apology or an offer to heat up the food would have been nice. Portion sizes can be inconsistent. For the rice and chicken ribs you get 3 ribs in a serving for $19.
