Came in on Sunday the 30th of Nove, with my dad, for coffee. The problem I had is that French Lettuce are expensive and their prices have gone up. If French Lettuce are going to increase their prices, then their pastries and bread should be FRESH THAT DAY otherwise customer are not paying for what they are getting. We paid $7 for a baguette that was clearly a day old, it was hard and stale to eat. IT WAS NOT FRESH.

Very average experience and little customer service. My partner and I decided to dine in and ordered two hot pies, a coffee, bottled juice and two lemon meringues. The cost was more than $45. We sat down and our pies were served in brown paper bags and were cold. The lemon meringues came on one plate - not two. The coffee was burnt. As we left, we asked to have the lemon meringue for takeaway and the girl asked if we wanted a bag for it. I’m surprised this place has customers. Disappointing experience.

So excited that French lettuce opened in the East. Still far away for me but I was a big fan of the Carlton store and this is marginally closer. Cakes look amazing as expected. My favorite fruit tarts and cheesecake are as good as Carlton of not fresher. Heaps of staff working who were friendly and helpful on arrival. Worth the trip. Highly recommended!

After reading rave reviews about the vanilla slice , I bought two at the overpriced $9 ea . Visually they looked awful , not iced , pastry falling off. Tasted ok but bottom pastry was soggy . Personally I don't know how they could be a winner at all . To say the least ,very disappointed.

The BEST croissants you can get outside of Paris! Unlike many other places which make them like tasteless airy things, French lettuce’s croissants are rich & buttery, moist yeasty in the centre and flaky & fragrant on the outside. One plain croissant there is an entire sensory experience! The staff is so lovely too, alway make my day going there. ! I been coming here for years, fingers crossed the ongoing Bulleen railway roadworks won’t affect its running. You must stay open please!
