Roselane bakery is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the rich, inviting aroma of freshly ground coffee beans. The baristas here really know their craft — every cup is brewed with precision, and the flavor is consistently outstanding. Whether it’s a smooth, velvety latte or a bold, perfectly balanced espresso, the quality is second to none. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to catch up with friends. What sets this café apart is the attention to detail: the service is friendly and efficient, the coffee presentation is always on point, and you can tell there’s genuine passion behind everything they serve. If you love coffee, this is the place you’ll want to keep coming back to. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Experience We visited this café on 1 January 2026, when almost everything in Melbourne was shut, and it was such a pleasant surprise to find them open. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and the owner — who is Persian — was incredibly kind and made us feel right at home. The omelette was delicious, and the drinks were excellent. We especially loved the iced latte and iced matcha — both were refreshing and perfectly made. Great food, amazing drinks, lovely ambience, and wonderful staff. We happily give this place five stars and would absolutely visit again if we come to Melbourne.

Disappointing Experience – Did We Come at the Wrong Time? Perhaps my expectations were too high after seeing all the beautiful photos and glowing reviews for Roselane Cafe and Bakery. Unfortunately, my visit didn’t live up to the hype. I arrived at noon, and most of the bakery items were already sold out. With limited options left, I decided on one of their last plain croissants. However, after paying, they forgot to give me the croissant. They did finally after I asked them about it. But the croissant tasted stale and not fresh at all. I then decided to try something else since I was still hungry, but the experience got a little frustrating. I asked a waiter about the omelette listed on the menu board, which didn’t have a price. She told me it was $20—$20 for just eggs? Naturally, I decided against ordering it. I then asked about the soup of the day, which was also listed on the board, but the waiter seemed completely unaware of it and eventually said they don’t offer soup. This left me confused—why advertise it on the board if it isn’t available? My partner ordered a wrap, which he found to be quite ordinary and unremarkable. The coffee, however, was good and up to Melbourne’s high standards, so that’s one positive. The atmosphere didn’t match the cozy and inviting vibe promoted in the online photos. Again, maybe we just came at the wrong time, but the entire experience—from the limited options to the lack of clarity from staff—fell far short of the raving reviews I had read. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and wouldn’t rush back anytime soon.

This is Melbourne’s best kept secret. The coffee and food is absolutely top notch. Everything taste like it’s come out of a home kitchen. They value fresh and taste here. My go to breakfast stop everytime I’m down from Brisbane.

Rose Lane Cafe and Bakery is an unexpected Gem in the Donvale shopping strip. The pastries you see when you enter are baked in-house by the people behind the counter. It's busy on a Saturday morning but they still have time for a smile while you're waiting for your mild but deliciously flavoured coffee. Well worth the visit and not overpriced.
