Visited multiple times and always a great visit. Reasonable prices with generous portions. Love the cheese pockets and the platters, and excellent hummus - wish they sell it as a side / add on but we didn’t ask. A staple in Brunswick. Coffee is average, but will always go back for the food.

The food is amazing. Affordable, varied, and all delicious. The staff’s generous hospitality (it wouldn’t be right to call it service) made me feel very welcome and looked after.
I had a shanklish pie (already eaten) and a selection of sides

Absolutely delicious food. Fresh tasting middle eastern style pizza and delicious kebabs with labne. Atmosphere was fine if a bit noisy. Order yourself at counter. Lots of seating but gets busy.

This local favourite Lebanese bakery truly lived up to its name! It’s a popular spot among the locals.
We tried the Zaatar and Kibbie platter, and it was delicious. The Zaatar is nicely toasted with mixed herbs and pairs well with hummus or eat it plain. There’s also a confectionery section selling some dry goods and frozen items.

A1 Bakery Sydney Road, Melbourne is an absolute gem! Always buzzing with life and filled with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread and Lebanese pastries. Their zataar pizza, cheese pie, and falafel wraps are always fresh and full of authentic flavour. The staff are friendly, quick, and welcoming, even during busy hours.
I love how the place maintains a warm, community vibe — perfect for a quick bite, coffee with friends, or takeaway. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. Definitely one of Melbourne’s must-visit spots for anyone who loves Middle Eastern bakery food.
