Miss Pryor Café – A Not-So-Secret Delight in the Heart of Town Right in the middle of town sits a little gem that’s clearly no secret to the locals: Miss Pryor Café. I’ve been there twice for breakfast now, and I’m happy to report that disappointment has never made an appearance at the table. From the moment you walk in, the space feels open, fresh and welcoming. It’s one of those cafés that suits everyone — families, friendship groups, and even solo diners who just want to enjoy a quiet coffee and a good meal. The big open windows practically wave you inside, and the fresh flowers at the entrance, on the tables and scattered throughout the café add a warm, thoughtful touch that instantly lifts the mood. The menu is impressively extensive, with something for everyone. Vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian, a children’s menu — all bases are covered. On both visits, however, I ordered the Miss Pryor All Aboard, and what a feast it is: buttered sourdough toast, poached free-range eggs, grilled tomato, smashed avocado, porcini mushroom medley, halloumi, spinach, chorizo and bacon. It’s enormous. Truly. You’d think I’d have learned my lesson the first time, but once again I found it very hard to clean the plate — not from lack of trying! Service was quick, friendly and attentive. In fact, two different staff members came to take my order at different times. When I dropped my fork on the floor, it was replaced almost instantly — blink and you’d miss it. And yes, the food and the coffee were absolutely delicious. I’d happily recommend Miss Pryor Café and will definitely be back — perhaps next time I’ll try something different… or maybe not. Well done, Miss Pryor. Keep up the great work!
