I think what I love the most about visiting this place is how much I feel so homey with the place. Its design and interior (wooden theme) as well as spacey area but not noisy and crowded make me feel so comfy to write with my laptop or have a one on one convo with my friend.
Plus, I really like their waffles ( ice cream+pecans so tastyy) as well as their beef raguuu (omg such a big and tender meeattt) and seafood pasta ❣️
Def will come back and try their food again! 😊

Had dinner at Piatella Cafe Bar in Glen Waverley and was genuinely impressed!
The Mediterranean Lamb Shanks were amazing — not one, but two huge lamb shanks served in a rich red wine tomato sauce. The meat was so tender it just fell off the bone, and the sweet potato and polenta mash underneath soaked up all that beautiful sauce. Absolutely hearty and full of flavour.
The Rib Eye Steak was also excellent — a big 400g grass-fed cut, perfectly grilled on the outside and juicy inside. The Café de Paris butter melted over it beautifully, and the roasted veggies on the side were fresh and well seasoned.
We finished with a Tiramisu, which was creamy, light, and came with a generous bowl of whipped cream — such a nice touch!
Portions here are huge, prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. Definitely a great spot for a solid Western meal in the Glen Waverley area. Will come back again for sure!

Came with friends and ordered. Personally, ordered the grilled octopus and iced long black.
Long black was a long black, nothing too special and nothing terrible. Could benefit from some coffee ice rather than regular ice, simply for the $7 price but I digress.
Grilled octopus was $33 and personally, not worth. Still yummy, still worth the try, but likely wouldn’t be a returning pick.
The combination of feta and olives made the salad incredibly salty and unpleasant, even when a bit of everything was eaten at the same time. Ultimately, the salad felt too unbearable-
The toasted bread was good, crunchy and soft at the same time, but it felt less like butter toasted and more so dipped/sprayed in oil and placed onto a pan. The oily residue on the plate didn’t help.
However the ambiance was amazing and I’m half certain everything else ordered by my friends was delicious considering they finished it all.
Would defo come back for breakfast or a different selection of dinner. The desserts looked amazing too. Unfortunately, didn’t get the chance to try.

We stumbled across this place in want of something great. Food was phenomenal. We ordered the lamb shanks, half rack beef ribs & beef burger.
Service was excellent, food came fast, hot and without the need for anything extra!
Desert taken away for a late night nosh.
Overall, brilliant for a traveller wanting a slice of homely food. Will be back!

Piatella in Glen Waverley never disappoints when it comes to desserts. The selection is decently sized! Cakes, crepes, and sweet treats galore. Everything is fresh and indulgent.
The cakes are always fresh and whether you dine in or grab takeaway, the quality is always consistent.
Service is fast and friendly, which makes the experience even better. The coffee isn’t the most memorable in Melbourne, but it’s a solid caffeine fix that does the job.
Overall, a great spot for anyone with a sweet tooth looking to have a decent slice of cake - Piatella is dessert heaven in the heart of Glen Waverley.
