Reasonably quick service for a busy Saturday afternoon. Pastries were a delight, the matcha latte was ok, but didn't like it enough to be a repeat order next time.

Laurent Café Bakery Glen Waverley is outstanding. The team are genuinely friendly, switched on, and work together like a well-oiled machine, you can feel the enthusiasm the moment you walk in. Service is fast from order to delivery, and everything runs smoothly. The coffee is a highlight, great flavour, not burnt or over-extracted, and served at a drinkable temperature (hot, but not nuclear). The café is also clean, well maintained, and the overall vibe is upbeat and welcoming.

As an avid café lover, I always loved coming here. Every time I want a good sweet treat I always come here. I recommended this place time and time again to friends and family. It used to be that reliable. However, after today’s experience, I can confidently say I’ll never be back. Today I came in as soon as it opened to study for exams and ordered 40 dollars worth of food for me and another friend of mine, and we quietly worked for a few hours. Then out of nowhere a staff member came up to us and asked if we were "going to order more things or not" (as we've been there a long time). As someone who works in customer service, I found this comment not only extremely unprofessional but downright disrespectful, and frankly I'm disappointed at the lower-than-average professionalism demonstrated here. If the café cannot tolerate paying customers quietly studying, this just shows where their priority lies. The café hides under a fancy façade, but beneath it are average pastries and horrible customer service. This is the last time my money -- or my recommendation -- will ever go here.

I bought a pastry last night for my partner, and he ate it today only to find mold underneath the raspberry. It was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. This is a serious food safety issue, and I’m extremely disappointed. We were looking forward to enjoying a nice treat, but instead, we got something unsafe to eat. Definitely won’t be coming back.

I enjoy the cakes here, pairing them with hot Earl grey tea, always a delectable experience. Ambience and interior are also nice. Prices are pretty expensive, 16.30 for an individual Black Forest cake and hot tea with milk, no cash as well. The Black Forest cake was rich. Cherry layer was tart and complemented well with the rich dark mousse, and the biscuit layer was a great surprise.
