Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. I had the mutter paneer, garlic naan, saffron rice and Bombay Crunch. So yum. The decor is lovely and the ambience serene. Definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Can't wait to eat there again.

We ordered delivery the other day and we ordered the Shahi Paneer, Daal Makhani, and Butter chicken. The shahi paneer was absolutely out of this world! One of the best I had in Melbourne by far. The rest were just as delicious as well, but Iβm a sucker for a good shahi paneer haha. The portions were very generous (shared between 4 people with some leftovers still). Thank you Flag of India! Will be a returning customer whenever Iβm in the area.

I recently grabbed a takeaway from Flag of India, and let me tell you, their Paneer Bhurji is absolutely unbeatable! The flavours and spices are perfectly balanced, creating that ideal mix of heat and depth. It's honestly hard to find a paneer dish that matches the richness and taste that this one delivers.
A big shoutout to the chef for crafting such an amazing dish, and to the wait staff for their friendly service. Everything was smooth from ordering to pickup.
If you're local, I highly recommend giving this spot a tryβespecially if you're into bold, flavorful Indian food. Trust me, you wonβt regret it!

Bought takeaway today and now we are hooked!
We bought the family pack with Dahl makhni, shahi paneer and butter chicken curries and the flavours were to die forrr . We asked for mild and we got mild and flavourful. Staff were great when called because I entered delivery address incorrectly and they kindly accommodated. food delivered on time .

We had plenty parking space on the street as we visited Flag of Indian around 9 p.m. The place is Pleasant, the interiors introduce you to bits Indian cultures. Atmosphere is great π. Service is good, the waitress was polite. We didn't like it when they placed cutlery on bare table, it was off-putting and felt unhygienic. We tried rasmalai, it had rose flavour and would definitely go back to this place for desserts. Chicken biryani was disappointing too much curry and the flavour of cardamom and saffron were over powering. If you are an Indian trying to eat something to remind you of your home land avoid ordering biryani. We had to search for rice in it. Chicken 65 was mediocre. Lemon and salt were on the dominant side but the serving size was good. Wasn't happy with the food, couldn't taste chicken in both the dishes the curry was way too overpowering.
