⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Unique and Delicious Experience at Kolapasi Indian Kitchen
We decided to try Kolapasi Indian Kitchen after seeing its impressive 4.9 rating, and it truly delivered. The taste was a solid 5 stars.
What makes this place special is their thoughtful approach: they offer tasters of several dishes so you can sample the flavours before choosing your meal. It’s a fun, personal touch that really helps you order confidently. All the tasters were delicious, showcasing rich, authentic spices and depth.
We went with the chicken and goat dishes paired with biryani rice, and every bite was packed with flavour.
If you’re a food lover or simply enjoy discovering new favourites, Kolapasi Indian Kitchen is a must-try.

Would definitely recommend the place.
It was my 1st visit and my short trip to Melbourne but this place definitely would be a must have food corner.
If you’re new they serve the sample food from which you can order whatever you like.
The food had the touch of home cook. Not much oily or masala.

I have been here a few times now. Every time, it has been an enjoyable experience with very satisfying meals for the entire family. The kids enjoy the ghee rice and the delicious parotas, and the adults enjoy the biryani and the meat sides. Every single dish I have tasted so far has been good. Keep up the good work, Kolapasi team!
Family Friendly

Those place is like food heaven. First time l, I was offered samples of chicken dishes and sweet halwa to choose from. Every sample was delicious. We went for Pepper chicken biryani, Cashew chicken biryani and also with Ghee rice. I was literally picking my fingers. The halwa was so good. Absolute authentic taste.
Service was excellent. Parking was no issue at all.
I would highly recommend this place.

Sometimes, the best meals aren’t planned. They happen when you’re hungry, curious, and chasing something simple — like a good parotha. That’s how I stumbled into Kolapas, tucked away in Laverton, buzzing with families, spice, and the scent of slow-cooked comfort.
They greet you with something rare — tastings. Like walking into someone’s kitchen back home, they want you to try it before you commit. Confidence like that only comes when the food speaks for itself.
I started with the Chunka Chicken, parotha combo, and goat biryani. Let me tell you — it wasn’t just good, it was damn near spiritual. Layers of spice, texture, depth. That chewy, buttery parotha sopped up the gravies like it was made for that purpose alone.
But I wasn’t done. I came back. This time: Green Chilli Chicken Biryani that slapped you awake with heat and flavour, Chicken Chettinad, and another rich, cashew-based gravy. Everything hit the right notes — bold, unapologetic, soulful.
Staff? Friendly, no fuss. Prices? Fair. Vibe? Packed with people who look like they know good food — and that’s always a good sign. Found out later this is part of a franchise across Sydney, Canada, and the U.S., but this place still feels real. Not polished to death. Just honest cooking done right.
This isn’t five-star dining. It’s something better — food that reminds you why you fell in love with eating in the first place. I’ll be back. Again and again.
