Dinner at The Supper Inn in Chinatown was sooo good. You will definately need a reservation as it was booked solid all night with walk ins waiting in the starwell. Must order the Quail- amazing...

Very nice and alive area that is full of tourists and locals! Young and old, all looking for some fun and enjoyment! Lots of great restaurants for different flavor cuisine of china! I am very sure you can find a great restaurant that fits your tastes and budget!

I'm not the biggest fun of Melbourne's architecture as there's obviously not much thought spent on harmonizing the buildings or the skyline. Chinatown though manages to maintain some of the older structures and blends some bits of modernity and color. Symbolism during Christmas can be a horrendous cacophony of nutcrackers next to Buddhist Gate protecting Lions but if you're able to see beyond that, it is visually a treat.

We had a good time — there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and lots of sweet shops like ice cream and drink stores. However, the area does have a strong smell of urine coming from the nearby alley.
