I recently visited Peshawari Restaurant, and it honestly felt like stumbling upon a little treasure that’s been hiding in plain sight. This place has such a loyal following, and now I completely understand why . The food has that authentic, traditional warmth that instantly draws you in.
What really stands out is their commitment to freshness. Everything is prepared daily, using fresh, clean ingredients, and you can taste that care in every dish. There’s a beautiful depth of flavour in their sauces and gravies: rich, aromatic, and so lovingly put together that it genuinely feels like a homemade feast.
Although Peshawari is best known as a top takeaway spot, they’ve now opened two branches where you can dine in. Just remember, it’s not a fancy setup ...more of a relaxed, straightforward space.. but that’s part of its charm. The focus is entirely on the food, and honestly, that’s where they shine.
And I have to say, the sweets were a total highlight... indulgent, comforting, and absolutely irresistible.
If you’re looking for authentic flavours, freshly made dishes, and that homestyle richness, Peshawari Restaurant is a must-try. A true flavour experience!

I am mind blown with the owners who have had this business approach to serving Pakistani food. The food is great, with a humble and simple set up and minimum staff they are able to run a very successful restaurant. Even on a Wednesday night it was pretty packed, people came.. used the digital order system, picked their plate and cutlery and waited to be served food. 2 guys running the entire operation behind the curtains.. managing delivery order, dine in orders and take away orders. Nowhere in this current market can you find biryanis and curry at a humble price of $12. Fixed menu, with very limited customisation options and spices which don’t leave a burning sensation after eating it. They have adopted the maccas business model and somehow managed to modify it to suit desi curry’s. Transferring all $$$ savings to the customers.

😋Wow, what an incredible experience at Peshawri in peshawri.fawkner ! If you’re after authentic Pakistani flavours, this place truly delivers. Every dish we tried was bursting with rich spices and that comforting homemade taste that instantly reminded me of back home.
The Biryani & shank was absolutely next level tender meat, beautifully balanced gravy, and fresh, fluffy naan to soak it all up. The biryani had the perfect spice kick, the kebabs were juicy and full of flavour, and the curries were rich and aromatic.
You can tell the chefs here really know their craft, every bite feels like a warm trip back to Pakistan. Plus, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend this gem for anyone craving true Pakistani comfort food! I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes next time 😋🇵🇰.

We ordered a curry worth $35 and unfortunately the quality was very disappointing. The naan was oily, and the curry had almost no gravy — it was mostly just dry meat. It really didn’t feel worth the price. We’ve enjoyed your food before, but this time the quality has dropped a lot.

We are from Adelaide, one of our friends recommended us to must try Peshawri... when we entered, we saw the dining and thought our friend must be kidding, so let's try something else, but one of us said lets give it a go... it was self-service (1st time experienced self-service on continental restaurant)... but when we got the food, it changed our mind..... Never judge a book by its cover... Hot, fresh, and tasty.... and the price is so cheap for this high-quality delicious food U can't imagine.... although it's self-service, but staff is still giving great hospitality.... Cheers....guys keep it up.... we will definitely come back on our next visit to Melbourne.... 😊
