Briar Hill Traditional Bakehouse

Came here because it was close to a wall my boss was making me build on a bloody saturday. Safe to say i was not in a good mood upon entry. Ordered the usual - pastie, lamington and a pink big M. When I went to pay I thought that I had been undercharged initially… turns out the blokes that owned the bakery hadn’t heard about inflation yet. Safe to say I walked out of there with my mood having done a complete U-turn. And the quality of the grub? As good as ya like. Value: 10/10 Food: good enough/10 My Boss: 3/10

Came for the Sourdough Cobb. At $4.80, it's not sourdough. It's okay, but it light not dense, it's brown in colour, no bubbles. Parking is very limited.

Always made to feel welcome and a great choice to pick from. We especially love the sub rolls and spinach and cheese pasties; the filling makes a delicious change from the usual spinach and feta which you get everywhere else.

Went to try the vanilla slice after hearing about it but was quite disappointed. Pies and sausage roll was also below average.
