First time. Did not disappoint and very friendly service. They have a variety options from pies to quiches, tarts, lasagne, cake, cookies and even take away packs for party.

The BEST ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had the Pork & Fennel Sausage Roll and Beef & Burgundy Pie with salad and relish. Both the pastry and the filing were perfection. Extremely friendly service and coffee 🫶 Ended up taking home a Chicken & Leek pie that I heated up for dinner. Can’t wait to go back for more.

one of the great pie places you'll come across in victoria. this was recommended to me by a mate and it really did hit the spot for the pies. i got their recommendation (sorry had been awhile) and it was so delicious. it was so great that i came back for more. there a few street parking around the area and prices are reasonable for its pies.

Absolutely stellar pies. Crispy flaky fluffy crust and tasty filling with beef and chicken pies. The Pieman’s son himself Pat was super nice and generous and gave my mom and I free pies to take home cuz it was his leftover stock when they were closing for the day. Definitely coming back again when I can make the trip!!!

Today we made it up to Heidelberg heights to try Pieman’s son. We are part of a VIC pie group so this is from our review. The gourmet pies were around 9.50 each and although my husband initially wasn’t keen on spending that much for a pie, this was absolutely worth it. I’ll start by saying that my ideal pie should be very well seasoned and I’m more inclined to try more “exotic” flavours whereas my husband prefers simpler classics. The pies we got were Beef Ragu, Beef & burgundy, Aussie pie (mince), Chicken & Leek, Butter chicken, Moroccan lamb and Fish pie. Initially we got 3 pies and as we ate them, we decided to get almost their entire cabinet 😂 Beef Ragu was very tender, moist and full of meat, my husband’s favourite. Beef & burgundy, I didn’t really taste the burgundy and it was quite similar to the Beef Ragu, hubby disagrees and said he definitely tasted burgundy. Hubby said the Aussie pie mince was the best one he’s had so far as the meat was soft and the pastry buttery. Chicken & Leek was good, you can definitely taste the fresh leek flavour in it. Butter chicken was soooo yummy! I love me some butter chicken, especially big chunks of seasoned chicken and the taste of the tomato/veggies was fresh and fragrant. Fish pie is one of their new ones, I’m a big fan of dill and it had plenty of that. I found more pieces of full prawns than fish so I would rate it more like a seafood pie than just fish. My favourite would be the morrocan lamb, the curry spiced braised lamb filling was superb! A must try and one I bet I’ll be craving again soon. I’m starting to really understand the different qualities of pies in VIC and we loved this place. Definitely worth the one hour drive we made to get here going through 100 speeding cameras and crazy drivers. We will return!
