Ordered: Broken Rice with the Lot (No.96) - a chef told us that he comes here just for the broken rice. Generous portion, thick piece of pork chop which was not dry, mildly marinated with faint lemongrass notes. Stir fried crispy egg noodle combination with egg sauce (No.157) - good portion size but the sauce upon arrival was very thick and gluggy. As the sauce broke down and became more watery, there were still lumps of starch. Was immensely thirsty thereafter… (msg? Lots of it??) Their service manner was a matter a fact. Order taken and off they went. Food delivered promptly despite being busy.

Came here for the crispy roast pork as it seems to be their signature. Sadly, after ordering 2 serves of crispy pork and a side dish of veggies, the staff came back after 10 mins to confirm that they were out of roast pork. While we did not even have time to reconfirm if we still want to dine here as our main dishes weren’t available, the side dish of stir fried veggies came out (yeah, with no main). So we agreed to stay and ordered a stir fried beef with rice and roast duck with stir fried noodle instead. After 30 mins, my partner dish of stir fried beef came, and my noodle came with no roast duck. I again asked the staff as by this time our stirfried veggies went cold, and I can’t just eat the noodle by itself, the staff reassured that roast duck would come anytime soon. Another 15 mins passed, and I had to ask another staff who tried to avoid eye contact to start with and tried to brush me off when being asked. Finally the roast duck came after the noodle went cold to the point it stuck to the plate with its cold greasy oil. The food taste alright, duck is a little too salty for my liking. MSG flavour is pretty strong. Ofc, I can’t rate the service as there was no service here I guess coz they’re busy always. But hmmm hard to say that I would come back to try the roast pork. Portion is generous tho!

I finally got to check out this restaurant, and I couldn’t resist the allure of their mouth-watering crispy pork and BBQ pork beckoning from the windows! I ordered the medium BBQ pork and crispy pork, and while the taste was decent, I was really impressed by the generous portion sizes. The fried rice and noodles were massive too, giving a great value, though the flavors were just average. But let me tell you, the jasmine tea was an absolute delight! A perfect complement to the meal.

Service is ok. Foods is either too sweet or too salty for Chinese dish.

Came down here on a Thursday night dinner, we got a round table in a seperate room. We ordered the stir fried water spinach, rice noodle CKT style, Hanoi style spring rolls, shredded roast duck fried rice, a plate of crispy pork and roast duck. The food is definitely filled with breath of the wok and service is fast, food comes out fast and delicious. The spice level on the fried rice is definitely dialled up, not for the faint hearted. All in all this is a spot for those who want to experience a little bit of Asia in one place. Definitely an icon in the heart of St Albans worth visiting.
