This store is located next to the residential area, is quite large and always packed with customers. It focuses on bulk packaging, big brands, and wholesale prices. The store offers a wide variety of food, electronics, and toys. The food section is excellent and reasonably priced. Try to avoid peak hours on weekends or midday to save time queuing and parking.

Very unpleasant experience at the Costco food court today around 5:30 PM (boxing day)
I was properly waiting in line and personally saw two different customers in front of me complete their payments at the counter. People waiting for food were holding their receipts, so the process was very clear. This was my first visit after creating a Costco membership, so I was paying close attention.
An older female staff member with glasses (red top, gray leggings) kept saying “no no” and pointing elsewhere without clearly explaining. I assumed guests were not allowed to order, so I stepped away to bring my boyfriend back.
After waiting about five minutes while fries were being prepared, she suddenly yelled at me in front of everyone, accusing me of cutting the line and shouting, “Why are you cutting?! I told you to pay over there!”
I did NOT cut the line. There were customers behind me who clearly saw I was already in line. Her behavior was aggressive, unprofessional, and humiliating. It felt like she was taking her frustration out on customers.
This was a very disappointing first experience as a new Costco member

Shout out to the - what I could see, 6 hardworking, amazingly organised kitchen crew working Melbourne Cup Day.
I put my order in today #881 at 12.22pm
Please know this is absolutely not a complaint.
It was absolutely crowded at the food collection point when I arrived and when I left there was about double the crowd.
Your team work was extremely admirable. Something needed doing someone would jump on it straight away.
People were crowding the counter and you repeated several times for everyone to move back. I heard you all repeat orders 2, 3, 4 & 5 times. How annoying that adults don’t pay attention.
Anyway 17mins later I received my order.
Our chicken tenders were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Fries were also perfect.
Your persistence, communication, organisation and awesome teamwork didn’t go unnoticed
I just wanted to say THANK YOU 🙏🏼

There are a huge variety of items for sale, each item is big in size, in large packages, and at a great price. There are fresh produce, frozen meats, sushi, grill chicken, household items, fans, watches, and massage chairs. Membership is required. There is a large free parking lot and a gas station.

I visited Costco Moorabbin in November 2025 with some friends, and I’ve been a handful of times over my years in Melbourne. It’s pretty straightforward to get to if you’re driving, with a huge outdoor car park and its own petrol station where members can grab discounted fuel. If you’re using PTV, it usually means a train and then a bus, but it’s still manageable. There are accessible entrances, disabled parking, and big trolley bays out the front, plus outdoor tables where people were already sitting and having lunch when we arrived.
You need your Costco membership card to enter, and once you’re in, you step into this enormous warehouse style space packed with bulk everything. At the front there’s tech, TVs, even tyres, and then the main stretch opens up into aisles filled with food, drinks, and household staples. In the centre, there’s a big selection of clothes and shoes, which honestly surprised me with how much variety they had.
At the back is the fresh produce area with fruit, veg, and a walk in fridge. There are massive freezer sections, hot and cold storage areas, and the big kitchen where staff prepare heaps of ready to go meals. My absolute favourite is the stuffed beef bell peppers but they also make cakes, sandwiches, and stacks of party friendly options. Further along, there’s pet food, cleaning supplies, and basically anything you’d need for a household… in sizes that could last you a whole season.
Because everything is in bulk, it’s amazing value, though it’s a lot if you’re a single person or small household. The alcohol section blew my mind and the bottles were massive. They also have bulk sanitary and bathroom products near the front, which I love stocking up on because the prices are genuinely good.
Checkout can get busy, and you need your membership card again, but the staff were fast, kind, and super efficient. We waited maybe fifteen minutes, and they helped repack everything after scanning, which was a lifesaver with how much we bought. After that, we headed to the fast food section where they sell pizzas, hot dogs, drinks, sundaes, and heaps more. We got a slice, a hot dog, a sundae, and a drink, and everything tasted great, especially the pizza, which was huge. The free soda refills were a bonus. Before leaving, you show your receipt to get it checked, and then you’re on your way.
It’s genuinely such a good place for families to stock up on essentials, and I can see why so many people love having it nearby. The membership definitely feels worth it if you buy in bulk, and the fact that they deliver through some services is handy too. It’s not somewhere I’d shop weekly as someone from a small household, but it’s perfect for stocking up on staples and grabbing favourites. It’s exactly what you expect from a Costco and I always walk out feeling like I’ve gotten a solid haul for the price.
