Ordered Nasi Kerabu but changed fried chicken to beef rendang Beef rendang was amazingly tender and melts in my mouth. The sauce was perfectly companied the beef ***** Ordered Nasi Lemak Fried Chicken. The fried Chicken was heaven! The marinade and crispy chicken despite takeaway was sooo good. I will order extra chicken next time ***** The fried banana or pisang goreng top off a perfect meal. The batter itself was also flavoured. ***** 100% will come back

Jetted straight from Melbourne to Malaysia once stepping into the shop, with old school shows playing in the background along with the vibe and decorations in the shop. Great selection of meat and vegetable options in a buffet styled selection where one could choose the number of meat and vegetable along with rice or noodles. A generous portion from the get go. I personally had the Nasi Kerabu with fried chicken. Definitely not let down by the taste and textures. Will be back for more!

When the food is good, it does not matter how long the drive. Matt Malaysian Cafe is even further than Mee & More Msian restaurant from where I live. It was packed when I arrived at 12.20pm. Ordered 2 meat, 1 vegetable with cendol. Gobbled up my food in 11 mins but my cendol was still not served. Had they forgotten? After 15 mins, I walked over to the counter to check and indeed the person serving the drinks/dessert did not know. Sorry, sorry...the usual Malaysian style apology that was so familar to me. I totally understand as those busy Malay restaurants in Malaysia used to say that. In Boleh Land, the wait could be 30 mins or more. Drive far, far. Wait long, long. Eat fast, fast. Slow, slow drive back. Happy 😋 Next time, will bring the whole jing gang.

Truly classic Malaysian vibes. The bain marie dishes, hectic ordering/yelling over the counter, smell of delicious food, the vinyl/plastic sheets on tables & the crowd that goes with it! Travelled all the way from the North-West to this gem. Tried the beef rendang, nasi kerabu and cendol. The beef rendang isn't too spicy and deliciously tender. The fried chicken (nasi kerabu) is also crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The flavour for nasi kerabu is great, full of texture and flavourful. A bit sad that they were out of ABC, but ordered the cendol and that was also really good. Just a note, the drinks are frigging massive!

Very nice and authentic Malaysian restaurant. As a long time customer from their Geelong store to south east now, their food quality maintained so well. Their mixed rice is very good. Their 2 types of fish are very tasty. The serving also huge. Worth the value. Price is very affordable. Staff are friendly. Quite big restaurant. Plenty of parking nearby.
