A delicious family owned French patisserie in Mentone. Lovely staff who were so helpful! Delicious sweets and savoury options! A must try if in the area! (Collab)

Mentone isn’t a place we frequent often but after the sweetest amazing time at @gateauxbymf on the weekend, we will need to visit every weekend. . The store has a lot of pink which is my fav colour and gosh there are so many french goodies both savoury and sweet. . The coffee has my thumb of approval and the puppicino has my cavoodle paw of approval. . Everything was so delicious and we were so full by the end of it all. . This store is on a strip and there are a few tables outside with umbrellas for sun and rain and you can pop inside to pick your cake or just order through the window. The kitchen is massive and you can see chef Marc hard at work making all these yummies! We also met Lulu and she’s just the sweetest, and both Marc and Lulu were very hospitable and I think I found a new bestie. Thank you Lulu for being so nice and sweet to us. 🩷 . Whether you are in the hood or not, jump in your car or bike and try a pastry or two and you won’t regret it.

If you haven’t explored this hidden gem in the bayside village of Mentone, then you are missing out. Wonderful coffee, exquisite delicacies and food, with a warm and friendly atmosphere and fantastic staff. How lucky is Mentone to have a prized French patisserie! Enjoy!

A bit disappointed with croissant though. Lack of buttery flavor. Pastry layers is decent work and flaky outside. But taste plain. The cake are sweetened nicely done it certainly great with coffee. Overall is just too expensive for me to enjoy. Edited for replying. I appreciated for hearing out. I have been eating pastry for more than 40 years plus and tried thousands of shops or brands. That day perhap was the day i had your croissant is lack of buttery level and taste in many croissant i have. I like the craft is professionally done but the buttery level and taste is too lacking or too light for the cost I'm paying for.

Outstanding cake shop with an incredible range of beautiful (and authentic) french cakes and pastries. The coffee is always good too, with 'creamy' tempered milk. I also always get here for Bastille Day.. the Beignets are beautiful and fresh.. custard, plain, jam and chocolate BUT be early, they disappear quick! Only negative here is there is no inside dining...a few tables outside get it done, but it's not quite Paris :)
