I visited Yah Yah’s on a Friday night in October 2025 for a rave event. It was such an easy spot to find, right next to Sircuit with trams running along the main street and both free or paid parking nearby. They share a smokers’ area with Sircuit, and the venue’s pretty easy to spot thanks to the ticket booth out front and the entry line. Security were fairly friendly, and the door and cloakroom staff were super kind. I’d grabbed my ticket early, so entry was free, though door prices can be a bit steep compared to other nearby clubs that often don’t charge. Downstairs, Yah Yah’s has a bunch of cute booths where people were sitting, and a bar at the back that was running drink specials until 11pm. Since we arrived around 10.30pm, my friend and I took advantage of the $5 WAP shots! The DJ was spinning some solid rave tracks, and the dance floor filled up gradually as the night went on, with plenty of people jumping up on stage to dance. On either side of the back bar are stairs leading up to a lounge area with more booths, a heart shaped photo spot, and a small photo booth where my friends and I took a few cute pictures later in the night. A few more stairs lead up to the toilets, where a staff member was keeping an eye out to make sure everything stayed chill. There’s also another upstairs performance space, but it wasn’t open which was a bit odd for an event night, though it might’ve just been because the crowd wasn’t large enough to fill both floors. I ducked out midway through the night to head to Sircuit and came back once it closed since Yah Yah’s stays open later. The drinks were good, and the staff were all lovely. They were selling light up rave sticks earlier in the night, which sadly sold out before we arrived. I managed to snag one later when people ditched them, though most of them fell apart by the end of the night. Overall, Yah Yah’s was a really fun time. The venue itself is cool, the energy’s great once it fills up, and I’d love to go back on a busier night when the upstairs space is open.
