We celebrated our engagement party here at the Keilor hotel in the vinery room a few weeks ago. We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Kiri & her amazing staff! You made the entire process such a breeze, by meeting with us to organise the details, then on night, to helping us to make sure everything was perfect! Your bar staff and the girls on the floor serving food were absolutely wonderful always checking in on us to ensure everything was going perfectly! We honestly couldn’t fault a single thing! We are so grateful for amazing hospitality! So many of our family and friends were commenting on about how perfect the venue was and how amazing the food was! Thank you Kiri & team! Food: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service was good and attentive, you can tell staff get along like family here. Atmosphere is incredible, they just don’t make restaurants like this anymore. Food was ok — buffalo chicken wings are what you’d expect, my partner ordered the brisket which he said was ok, and my fish and chips… could’ve been better honestly. Massive portion with 3 pieces of battered fish and did not taste fresh (a bit too fishy). Salad was a bit withered. I couldn’t finish my meal. I would recommend reducing the portion size to 2 pieces of battered fish and a slightly lower price. We’ll surely be back, but I’ll be ordering something else.

An Unforgettable Experience – Thank You Michelle & Julia! We recently celebrated a surprise 80th birthday in the Taste Room at Keilor Hotel, and I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible service we received. From the very beginning, Michelle D’Alterio was an absolute superstar. Over two months of planning, she was approachable, informative, and incredibly accommodating. Michelle made us feel welcome and at ease, kept in regular contact, and even provided an updated spring menu to ensure we had the best options available. Her attention to detail and flexibility made the entire process seamless. The value for money was exceptional, especially considering the level of care and professionalism we received. On the day, Julia looked after our party of 32 guests – and wow, what a breath of fresh air! Despite it being her first time managing a function in the Taste Room, she was outstanding. Julia was warm, polite, well-spoken, and completely dedicated to making the event run smoothly. She went above and beyond, even helping us capture the surprise moment on video so we could relive the joy on the birthday guest’s face. Her timing and attentiveness were impeccable, and she made every guest feel special. The food was absolutely delicious – hats off to the kitchen staff who clearly put so much effort into every dish. Our guests are still raving about it! Keilor Hotel has truly nailed the art of hospitality. Michelle and Julia made our event unforgettable, and we are so grateful for their dedication and care. We’ll absolutely be back – again and again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The ragu gnocchi is perfect winters dish. Couldn't fault it, very nice. 5 stars. The steaks are good, I have had better but still a good feed. The scotch fillet wasn't the best cut of meat but the T-bone was pretty good. Sauces have a bit of room for improvement. The atmosphere amd architecture is unbelievable. Very nice establishment to have a meal. I have been twice in a week so it must be pretty good.

Had dinner at the Keilor Hotel and ordered the chicken parmigiana and calamari with chips and salad. The calamari was tender and nicely cooked, but the chicken was too thick for my liking — I couldn’t finish it. There were a couple of mix-ups during the night, with staff trying to deliver meals and drinks to our table that weren’t ours on two occasions. It would be helpful if waitstaff double-checked table numbers before serving. The setting is a mix of modern and old charm, depending on where you’re seated, which adds character to the dining experience. A thoughtful touch is the colouring packs available for purchase to keep kids entertained — a great option for families dining out.
