Exceptional bar. Quality all the way. Staff highly trained and professional - customer service was perfection. Located at 25 Collins Street, Melbourne CBD. Enjoyed happy hour drinks ($10 Sparkling Rose) was a surprise at how good it was! Free bar snacks provided. We had a cheese platter $29 - great value. Beautiful location - everyone was looking up to see the spectacular interior. Acoustics have been carefully considered too — given the huge space you’d expect noise to echo and bounce, but the chatter and noise was well absorbed and it was easy to carry a conversation.
The cocktail menu was very extensive and I found myself spoiled for choice — there’s something for every taste from citrus to florals/herbal to chocolate/cream to fruity/sweet. A decent selection of modest spirits, and naturally an extensive wine list.
Snacks and meals are reasonably priced and generously portioned (I was expecting a canapé-sized snack when I ordered the lobster rolls and when it arrived I had to accept that it was now my dinner). Service is polite, professional, and efficient. Would definitely go again whether to enjoy a coffee and biscuit for morning tea, a few pre-dinner cocktails, or a decadent nightcap (caffeine lovers, rejoice; there’s a big selection of luxurious coffees and hot chocolates, with or without alcohol).

It’s so lovely going up the elevator to the piano bar on the 35th Floor at Hotel Sofitel
A perfect place for a nightcap after dinner or a show or just to go to have one of the many delicious cocktails or wines for absolutely no reason but to enjoy and relax
A must do since you’re there anyway is make a trip to the bathroom for the floor to ceiling windows to check out the view!
The staff were really lovely and you can’t help but feel special when you walk in
I haven’t rated food as we did not eat here.. just a few cocktails & admiring the incredible lights

My friend and I went to this bar and lounge for happy hour 5-6pm. Wines were $10 and cocktails $15 which was great. I had a rose and my friend had the cosmopolitan. Both were great. You also get little nibbles to have with your drink which is great. We also ordered fries as we were a bit peckish. They were topped with Parmesan and had to ask for tomato sauce on the side.
We did find there was a limit of staff as the waiter we had was having to attend almost all the tables, as we realised the area expands all across the other side. He always made sure we were okay and apologised for the wait on the chips.
Lots of people that are staying in the rooms come for a drink as it is so convenient.
