Great music and the theme nights. Drinks are decent; not overly boozy, but they aren't really the highlight anyway, the music and vibes are.
Just echoing what others said: the toilet queue is a mission. If you’re a non-smoker, the smoke might get to you.
Also, if you’re an awkward potato like me and need a corner or a wall as a safety net, definitely get there early to grab a sear.

Section 8 has a great vibe and atmosphere with kind, cheerful staff. I enjoyed my time while inside, however, getting inside was the disappointing part.
I think they may have been fined because they were taking their max patron limit very seriously. I understand this is a good thing to do, but some communication to the people in line would go a long way. People dedicating their time and money to attend a venue, the least the venue could do is give estimations for how long the line would be. I understand it seems trivial, but 2.5 hours in line is a little bit crazy. Have signs out or have security guards communicate to potential customers.
Besides the line, everything else was great. Music was a bit average though.

Some of the employees look like they really don’t wanna be there, unfriendly, look annoyed. Beers only in cans or bottles, choice of spirits was ridiculous (basically non lol).
Also of you’re not a stoner or a backpacker high on drugs, you’re not gonna like this place.

Hidden away in a funky alleyway, surrounded by creative street art is this wonderful place to chill and enjoy some reasonably priced wines and cool music. Hamish and the gang will really look after you and make you feel right at home!

A great place for drink music and fun. Section 8 is located in the bustling China town with so many people. Great atmosphere, nice music and good drinks and cocktails. The place is very local and with lot of people. The drinks are not the cheapest but good atmosphere.
