The atmosphere is lovely, the service was superlative. The food is average. Way too expensive for what you get. 1 bottle of sparkling water costs $9.50.

This place offers some really great Mexican food and vibes. I love the rooftop bar, and the unique and vibrant atmosphere of the place. The staff are very attentive and kind. My partner and I ordered the mini nachos, some tacos, and the jalapeño poppers which were all really tasty and filling. The drinks were also great, and the small details made everything special. The only downside for us was the high price. Overall though, would recommend this place.

We recently visited Hecho en Mexico Richmond on 19 September 2025 for a team celebration, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment we walked in, the lively atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home. The standout for me was definitely the birria taco (never had such fried taco 🌮 before), which was packed with flavour and perfectly cooked. Me and my friend also tried the El Mojito Mexico, which was refreshing and balanced. Another bonus if you’re heading there with mates: they offer 1receipt, so splitting the bill is a breeze when you’re in a group. Overall, I’d happily give this visit a 5-star rating. If you’re after a fun and tasty dining experience, Hecho en Mexico Richmond is a top spot!

Very nice service and food was very high quality. We ordered, veg and prawn tacos; burritos, mexi chips, Spanish paella. jalapeño poppers and chimichangas. All were fresh and very tasty. Would highly recommend this place.

The funky 'Día de los Muertos' vibe common to all Hecho en Mexico restaurants adds to the appeal of the venue. The service was friendly and efficient, and the portions were generous if not 100% authentic. The menu is extensive, with options for diverse dietary needs. Overall, good value for money.
