The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill Werribee

We recently visited The Sporting Globe in Werribee. Overall, it was a mixed experience, with some strong positives and some areas that could be improved. Service The service was professional, attentive, and well organised. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and handled orders efficiently, even during busy periods. This was a clear highlight of the visit. Interiors The venue was clean and well maintained, with a variety of seating options available to suit different group sizes. The layout was comfortable and functional, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the space. Food Hawaiian Loaded Parma The Hawaiian loaded parma was generously sized and topped with ham, pineapple, and melted cheese. While filling, the flavours were fairly standard and did not particularly stand out. Black Angus Rump The Black Angus rump was served with chips and salad. The portion size was reasonable, and the sides were well presented. The steak was satisfactory, though it did not quite meet expectations given the menu description. Drinks Asahi: The Asahi was served cold and refreshing, as expected. Cocktail – Pineapple Hard-Rated Mojito: The pineapple hard-rated mojito was enjoyable and refreshing, with a good balance of sweetness and citrus, though it leaned more towards easy drinking than standout. Overall, while the service and venue were strong, the food was average for the price point. A solid option for drinks and sport, but some improvement in food quality would elevate the experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Outstanding Christmas Party Venue & Service! We had our Christmas party at The Sporting Globe Werribee, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we booked, Chris, the event manager, was incredibly accommodating—always responsive, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure everything ran smoothly. On the day itself, Cooper looked after us throughout the entire function, and he was absolutely amazing. Friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. He made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. Everyone loved the space—it was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for group activities. The food was great and came out on time, and the staff were so helpful with all the little details of our event. Lots of servings to having the cocktail and we have lots of left over to take home!! Thank you to the whole team at The Sporting Globe Werribee for making our Christmas celebration memorable. Highly recommended for any group function or event! 🎄✨ We will come back there definitely!!

I visited Sporting Globe Werribee today for the half-price steak deal. The service was good and the environment was nice to be in. The pricing was great and the chips were super crunchy. The garlic mayo aioli was delicious, and my lemon lime bitters was really good as well. Unfortunately, the porterhouse steak was disappointing. It was cooked medium-rare but had a strange watery texture, almost like it had been injected. On top of that, there were a lot of stringy, tough bits running through the meat, which made it unpleasant to eat. The black pepper sauce was okay, just a little cold when it arrived. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and some of the sides, but the steak itself really missed the mark. I’d return for drinks or snacks, but I probably wouldn’t order the steak again. Have had the parmas and chicken wings and ribs on seperate occasions and loved it!

Came out here with the family after a long weeks work, well worth the visit. Good food and atmosphere, massive shoutout to Cooper and Crystal who went above and beyond to make sure me and the family had a great experience!

Overall experience was ok. For higher echelon prices (in comparison to what’s around), I kind of expected a little more to be honest. The food arrived fairly quickly (after we finally ordered) despite it being quite a busy evening, and the presentation was nice however it was the various little things that let down the experience. Nobody came to take our order for quite a long while. After being seated we were kind of forgotten about, I had to make my way to the bar and order from the bar tender because my kids were getting a little restless. We were never given any cutlery or napkins or glasses or anything, even after the food had arrived. My wife had to go hunting for it. The mushroom sauce for the steak was quite bad, it was very odd and was as if they used sour cream in the recipe… very unpleasant. My side of Aioli never came out with my meal either, I also had to go hunting for it. In terms of taste, the food was ok. My burger was ok, the steak was ok, the mini sliders were ok, Mac and cheese bites were ok. I mean nothing really stood out to be honest. The vibes of this place are great I will admit that much. Sports channels on overdrive, beautiful high ceilings, vibrant energy and very friendly staff but just not worth the money. Go to Grill’d right next door.
