The Top Paddock has great food but…
…ordering from a QR code just loses a little bit of enjoyment. AND I was prompted to leave a tip for what is effectively no service 🧐 I generally enjoy tipping (assuming it’s deserved) wherever I go to eat, but hard to do if you don’t meet anyone.
I understand that QR codes save time in a cafe, BUT it diminishes the experience AND there is no opportunity for well trained staff to upsell. Always tradeoffs, not sure this one works…

Top Paddock Café. A Thoughtful Stop That Became an Experience
Top Paddock Café was not a planned destination, but sometimes the best experiences happen that way. On my way to a friend’s place, having missed breakfast, I stepped off the tram nearby and decided to stop in for a coffee. I had passed this café many times before, yet this was my first visit; and it immediately stood out.
From the moment I entered, the atmosphere felt intentional and welcoming. The space has a calm yet energetic vibe, thoughtfully designed and well balanced. It invited me to slow down, observe, and genuinely enjoy the moment rather than rush through it.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, creating a sense of ease that made the experience feel personal without being intrusive. The menu and drinks list were well curated, offering variety while remaining clear and approachable. Most importantly, the coffee was excellent; well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable from the first sip to the last.
What began as a simple coffee stop turned into a reminder of how strong hospitality, atmosphere, and service can elevate even the most unplanned visit. It’s a place I would happily return to, not just for the coffee, but to explore more of the menu and experience the space again.
Sometimes, the cafés we walk past become the ones we remember most; when we finally take the time to step inside.

Had a lovely brunch at Top Paddock with my loved one. It was such a warm and vibrant spot!
The Rhubarb & Custard French toast was the star of the morning. It just melts in your mouth, perfectly soft with a beautifully balanced sweetness and a nice crunch from the toppings. Absolutely worth recommending!
The greens with poached egg and croutons were fresh & light . A great way to balance the meal.
Highly recommend this place for anyone who enjoys quality brunch, cozy vibes, and food that’s plated as beautifully as it tastes. ☕🍞🥗✨

My hubby really enjoyed his breakfast here. He thought the eggs were cooked perfectly. My strawberry matcha was beautifully presented and delicious. We would def go back to try some other dishes. The service was fast and professional and friendly. Highly recommend

My recent visit to Top Paddock cafe was an absolute delight! The food was simply outstanding. I can't stop thinking about the brioche and mushroom truffle croissants, they were honestly the best I've ever had. Every bite was a perfect combination of flaky pastry and rich, savory filling.
The coffee was expertly made, and the fresh juice was the perfect complement to the meal. Beyond the incredible food and drinks, the atmosphere was wonderful. It's clear why this place is so popular. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly amazing brunch experience. I will definitely be back!
