The last time I visited Angus & Bon was back in 2022, and returning three years later to find it even better than I remembered really speaks to how successful and consistent this restaurant is. It’s one of those places I like to save for special occasions β€” yes, it’s on the pricier side compared to my usual spots, but it is absolutely worth it every time. The food is always top quality, and the space itself is beautifully considered, immaculate, and timeless. Inspired by classic New York steakhouses, the interior is warm and refined, with plush booth seating and moody lighting that instantly sets the tone. It’s the kind of space that feels both elevated and comfortable β€” perfect for long dinners and celebrations. We dined as a group of five and started with cocktails, with the basil cocktail being a standout β€” fresh, unique, and incredibly well balanced. For entrΓ©es, we ordered the house-baked bread, the A&B steak tartare, and the citrus & Kampot pepper cured kingfish. Every dish was exceptional, but the kingfish truly stood out β€” easily one of the best kingfish dishes I’ve had in a long time. For mains, we each chose a different steak. I went with the eye fillet, which was cooked to absolute perfection. We paired our mains with crispy duck fat potatoes and wood-grilled broccoli, and honestly, everything we ordered was a hit. Not a single miss. We all left feeling full, satisfied, and already talking about our next visit. Angus & Bon continues to deliver on every level, and I hope it won’t be long before I’m back again.

For the total bill of $400+ meal excel. surcharge, this was a rather underwhelming meal and experience. The atmosphere was great, it’s intimate and cosy, just how a bistro should be. They were quite busy during the weekend dinner time and three of us were cramping at a two persons booth, knees were touched multiple times here. The wine selections were very limited, there are better selections I can offer at home to my guests. We decided to go simple, dry aged ribeye Waygu porterhouse, duck fat potatoes on the side and bread to start with as they mentioned the long wait time. We ordered medium rare but it came rare. The supposingly wagyu was not the correct texture nor the appearance, there was no marbling look on it, seems like we got served a normal steak for wagyu price. The porterhouse was okay, there is not much I can comment here, your local pub could get to the same standard with a friction of the price. The sauces were a hit or miss. The chimichuri was the best of the whole table but when we asked for extra, the waiter was hesitant to proceed and mentioned it should be enough for the three of us. He was wrong, it wasn’t enough; pepper and bbq sauce were a delight; mushroom sauce was alright. The best items of this meal were the bread and potatoes, for a steakhouse that is rather embarrassing. My advise is to spend your money elsewhere at a proper steakhouse.

Been wanting to find a good steakhouse for a while and stumbled upon Angus & Bon since I’ve heard this restaurant through word of mouth but wasn’t sure whether it was worth the hype till I came to try myself. Gosh this place took my mouth by surprise!!! All the dishes tasted perfect 😭 definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve had in Melbourne for a while. Not only is their steak outstanding, their pasta here is also delectable. We ordered the crab spaghetti and still dreaming about it till this day. Highly recommend, will be coming back here for sure β€οΈπŸ’‹

The Steak Night on Tuesdays is a ripper! The steak was seared to perfection with charred smokiness yet remaining juicy and moist inside. The portion was generous too. The fries were excellent too. Crispy and you can actually taste the goodness of the potato. The salad however could be less salty. The sauce had a delicate flavour and I would have loved to have it a little less runny so it hangs better on the steak. The service was responsive and delightful. The Steak Night is popular and booking is recommended. A warm cosy place that is perfect to enjoy a good steak on a cold rainy night.

Amazing meal from start to finish! Everything was perfectly cooked and the red wine options were also very good. Atmosphere is really nice and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend if you can go, easy to get to from a lot of places too.
