Holy moly. There will be a line, so be prepared to wait. But it is SO worth it!! Absolutely incredible. All were highlights but have to recommend the spinach + goats cheese scroll (super dense and delicious) and the maple bacon danish (mustard makes this incredible). So glad we came.

I was craving a ham and cheese croissant and ended up traveling an hour to this place after reading the rave reviews. Best decision I could’ve made for a rainy Saturday morning. Hands down the best ham and cheese croissant in Melbourne so far. Perfectly crispy, buttery layers that melt in your mouth. A genuinely heavenly experience.
While I was there, I also picked up the maple and bacon danish and it didn’t disappoint. It was excellent too, but I know I’ll be coming back for the ham and cheese every single time.

Update: I went back (25 SEP 25) as I wanted to try the cinnamon rolls. We ordered two ham& cheese (of course) and a cinnamon roll. Ham& cheese was like heaven again, every bit was perfectly balanced to perfection. The cinnamon roll was good. Sweet but not too much. The only thing is, I thought the rolls itself has gotten a bit saggy because of the cream topping. Maybe if they added the topping when servicing the cinnamon rolls it would taste so much better.

We decided to stop by after driving past so many times and noticing how busy it always gets. They have a great range of croissants—both sweet and savoury.
We ordered the ham & cheese, maple syrup and bacon, and a classic almond croissant—all up $24. Service was super quick; the only wait was for the coffees.
The standout was the ham & cheese croissant—honestly the best I’ve ever had! It had a creamy sauce inside that was out of this world. The maple syrup & bacon croissant was good too, though I think it would have been better if it had been served warm. The almond croissant wasn’t quite what we expected—it didn’t really taste like almonds. Not terrible, just not the traditional almond flavour we had in mind.
Overall, definitely worth a visit, especially for that ham & cheese croissant which I'll be buying again.

Be prepared to line up. This place is popular.
This patisserie is a cute little window in a wall that offers fresh, incredibly rich pastries.
A lot of the popular items go very quickly though the bakers do continually refill certain pastries throughout the day.
Three sets of tables and chairs are available on the pavement and provide a great spot in the sun on a frosty morning.
The salted caramel Kouign-amann is a Caramel-lover's dream with perfectly baked sticky pastry. The Banoffee pie is also an apparent fan favourite as it appears to sell out very quickly.

Amann Pâtisserie had been on my list for a while — and it was absolutely worth the wait. Open Wednesday to Sunday, this charming little shop takes orders from outside, with just three small tables to sit at. The service is warm, personal, and efficient, and if you feel like practicing your French, the staff will happily play along. For the serious learners, they even offer French lessons!
Now, the best part… the pastries! I ordered the Almond Croissant, Kouign Amann, Pain Suisse, and Raspberry Tart — every single one was divine. The Croissant aux Amandes was perfection: countless delicate layers baked just right, a generous almond filling, and flavors in perfect balance. No surprise it sold out twice while we were sitting there. The Pain Suisse was a personal favorite, even over the Pain au Chocolat, and the Kouign Amann — generously filled with rich caramel — is an absolute must-try (yes, I hit the gym for this!). The Raspberry Tart was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying.
They also serve a great selection of coffees and specialty drinks — we went for the Blueberry Matcha, and on weekends, they expand the menu with even more options to explore.
Merci beaucoup! Trugarez vras deoc'h!!
