Stay here if you are looking for a hotel with:
1) A shower with no door that sprays water all over the bathroom floor.
2) A bathroom and toilet door that are completely unsealed, allowing you to hear every noise that your roomie makes in the bathroom, in great detail.
3) An intelligent (AI??) elevator that literally watches you and makes creepy comments towards anyone who enters (I tried to cover it with my hand once and it said "keep your hands to yourself"!! Another time I wore shorts and it said "nice legs", and then when I hopped in with an older man it suggested that we hop in the bathtub together upstairs... fairly uncomfortable ride.)
4) A 20 minute wait for a takeaway breakfast muffin when the deli is completely empty (this is an English muffin, not savoury muffin, to save anyone else the disappointment, and the wait was because the chef was just not there... Only took 5 mins to make once he appeared).
5) A tiramisu that promises "Lots of Marscapone + A Little Cake" and delivers 70% cake 30% marscapone, severely disappointing both of us.
...
All that being said, the bed's comfortable, room is spacious and well equipped, and location is great.
If this sounds like the experience for you, what are you waiting for!?

Stayed a few nights from Xmas Eve. A wonderful modern hotel with an quality industrial chic look about it.
The Foyer are public spaces fantastic, quality furnishings, with interesting objects of art throughout, with the staff look amazing in thier funky cool outfits.
QT King room had amazing city views. The room very spacious, with many lighting options creating great mood and atmosphere.
Exceptionally comfortable bed.
Front desk staff amazing, shout out to amazing Sarah for adding some nice touches to our experience along with Gina for her warm hospitality too, along with young Josh whom attended our car. Valet parking a breeze. Friendly security staff too !
Roof Top bar, amazing, very good cocktails and city light views.
Pascal Restaurant, very comfortable dining chairs and lots of interestinq wares and oddities to look at, and an open kitchen to observe the action.
Recommend QT Melbourne without any hestiation, ( along with QT gold coast where had an equally enjoyable stay in October )

Excellent location.
Rooms are tired - bed is soft enough from a decent topper but mattress is not great and moves with each movement from your partner; TV is small and has poor sound system.
Toilet paper quality is appalling.
Cleaning standards are below par. Often seen room service trays in corridors for whole days. Our ice bucket was left for a whole day in front of our door. Rooms are cleaned on the surface with little attention to detail.
Very poor insulation - can hear every noise from other rooms and from the streets.
No price list for mini-bar in the room; no complimentary water.
For the premium rates, was expecting much better rooms and quality.
Will not stay again.

One of my new favourite places to stay in Melbourne! Love the look of the rooms, super clean and the rooftop bar is fantastic. Food was great, bed was comfy and room was spacious. Perfect position to be in the CBD. It felt modern and not washed out like some other hotels we have stayed in. Loved it.

Where's the UNICORN AWARD for hotel staff who are legit friendly at check-in; honour the room requests and preferences on your special occasion booking; and STILL go above and beyond, right through late check out?
It's gotta be behind the front desk at the QT Melbourne, where legends like Sarah, GG (Gina), and Ali ensure your anniversary celebration is magical.
The QT rooms are fantastic: stylish, comfortable, design details we love, amenities, soundproofed windows that allow for bright, sunny views with hardly any noise late at night, plus the gorgeous rooftop bar -- all the things you can see online for yourself and you really don't need this review to reaffirm for you.
So, what takes a hotel from 5 stars to your absolute #1 local favourite is when you check in, and you feel real warmth and friendliness from the staff. The handwritten Happy Anniversary note in the room? Check. Special touches -- even though you're not a member of the hotel chain (like you thought you were)? Also a 5-star factor.
But when you check in, and joke about how could the QT top your last (amazing) anniversary visit -- it hits different. You get to your perfect room, start relaxing, and minutes later, Sarah arrives with a GIANT SMILE, SILVER BALLOONS AND A NEON LOVE SIGN!
That UNICORN Level kept the vibes high for our whole (too-short) stay, plus the late checkout and lovely chat with Gina (NZ not TX). We hated to leave, but will be back again VERY soon* and OFTEN! ️ ️ ️ ️
* Birthday-versary part 2 coming in hot! 😍
