Hit and miss. The service within the club is very friendly, cannot fault that. Hard to get any replies on emails regarding membership, called and was answered immediately by a consultant then left on hold for 30 minutes. I hung up and checked email and they finally had replied to my email when I was sitting on hold. Question was finally answered, so that was a bonus, but no one ever came back to the call.
Had dinner back on Valentine's Day in the dining room and charged to my account, realised a month later was overcharged for drinks - need to be so careful when charging things to your account as cannot really prove it down the track.
Overall the membership has been ok. Great if you are full time in the city and older looking for events. They do allow other guests to stay at the property (non members) and have released a event pass for non members to attend events, so these fill up pretty quickly.
The food is 10/10 which is definitely the highlight.

We loved our recent stay at the RACV City club. The location is fantastic and close to to he CBD. Easy parking and great food options within the hotel. We will visit again.Staff were very welcoming and hospitable.

Preferred location for work travel. Great central location.
Rooms are very spacious and always spotless. Service is courteous and efficient at all times. I have stayed here several times for work trips and never had any issues or complaints.

Recently came to Melbourne for the MotoGP. Had a lovely stay at RACV. Rooms were lovely. Service was great. When I arrived, my room was not ready. They changed me to another room and gave me extra room credit. Breakfast was great every day. Had a meal in the members dining room which was very nice. Also had a meal in the bistro which was great and quite reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful on all interactions I had. Really couldn't ask for much more. Certainly worth consideration as a place to stay if in Melbourne for business or holiday. Worth noting that the wine bar is not open sunday night and the rooftop bar and green are not open on weekends. Maybe they are aimed at the midweek business crowd but does limit options a little if staying in the hotel
