Lovely place to go. Welcoming and friendly. They make their own cakes in traditional style with recipes passed down generations. Some beautiful pictures of old churches on the wall, and they obviously have a sense of humour with some amusing signs! They also do birthday cakes.

Eating at Cafe Transylvania was a wonderful experience, I loved the warm and welcoming service, and overall atmosphere of the place. The food was very good, the environment alone was already very comforting, and the service was so nice - you could tell that there was so much genuine pride put into everything. Would definitely come back again.

Cannot fault this place, the food is delicious and cooked to perfection, the restaurant is clean and nicely set out, but what sets it apart is the attentive and warm service where you are made to feel at home and nothing is too much trouble. The price point is great for the serving size and quality of food, I love the mixed grill everytime I come here but the Cevap and Sarmale are like home. The new owners, Ildi and Ionel are great at what they do and I'm looking forward to what they come up with for this place ๐ŸŽ‰

My dad and I have visited this cafรฉ a number of times and have nothing but positive things to say about it! The new owner introduced herself to us, and she is very personable. The food is the most authentic Romanian I have had in Melbourne. A very underrated cuisine which I would recommend trying - especially the mici!

Cafe Transylvania is a fantastic spot! The food is delicious and portions are generous, though prices are slightly on the higher side. The pastries are particularly tasty, and I was even offered a free sampleโ€”what a nice touch! I highly recommend trying the Mixed Grillโ€”itโ€™s the best way to experience the full range of flavors. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the experience even better, especially when serving their mysterious signature drink. Definitely worth a visit!
