Overall food was pretty standard. The original tiramisu was the star for me. Lasagna was standard too.
I told the staff, that my auntie’s birthday but it seems, either the staff forgot or was not care enough . I am pretty surprise when the tiramisu came without candles. If they dont have it at least they should have told me. While other tables, I hv seen the staff brought some cakes ( I believe the guest has brought it). But, we ordered tiramisu and creme brulle as replacement for a birthday cake. I just could not say it in front of my auntie and let it go. I told her never mind, we re-celebrate it next week in other restaurant ok.Perhaps in the future, please pay attention for small things but it matters especially we came for a birthday celebrations and I told to 1 of the staff and the staff understood by nodding “the staff” head.

We went for their pistachio tiramisu that’s viral on social media, but their lasagna and pork ribs delighted even further.
Portion was generous, vibe was good for date nights or larger gatherings. Parking can be somewhat difficult, public transport maybe a good idea as located opposite train station.

Carosello is easily the best Italian restaurant we’ve visited so far. Every dish—from entrées to mains to dessert—was outstanding. We ordered the Italian meatballs and arancini to start, and they were honestly the best we’ve ever had; we’d return just for those alone.
For our mains, we had the eye fillet and the veal, both cooked perfectly, and the mushroom sauce was pure liquid gold. The tiramisu absolutely lived up to the hype.
Not only was everything delicious, but the portions were generous—we couldn’t even finish all the dishes. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and cosy. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Service was excellent, with just the right timing between entrées, mains, and dessert.
Serving sizes were very generous — we ordered one entrée, one pizza, and one dessert to share, and it was more than enough for two people. The prices were very reasonable, just over $100 for three courses, two mocktails, and a coffee.
All the food tasted fantastic. I loved the meatballs — they had great flavor and weren’t dry at all. The chargrilled bread that came with them added a wonderful smoky touch. The potato and sausage pizza was delicious, with great flavors and that perfect wood-fired taste.
We finished with the pistachio tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious — not overly sweet or rich, and one serving was definitely enough to share between two

I have been to this beautiful Italian restaurant, last year for dinner, without any reservations and the staff generously served us our food, even though it was a bit of rushing. Hence I decided to try again with a reservation.
Rang to make a booking for dinner tonight and we were able to make it.
Ordered my favourite Barbecue Pork Ribs, Miss Piggy Pizza, Eye Fillet Steak and Drinks. Every dish was delicious and we really loved it. Beautiful restaurant with a fantastic menu and excellent customer service team. Friendly and welcoming staff members are the highlight for today. Food was served within a short period of time, excellent follow up and great service.
Will definitely visit again soon and will recommend to everyone who is looking for a good place for a great food and drinks experience in Melbourne.
Location is also great as it is located just opposite to the Moonee Ponds Train Station. Parking could be a little bit tricky due to the busy location but, that shouldn’t be a problem.
