This place is incredible. The coffee has an amazing umami quality that pairs perfectly with their desserts. The cakes and cream puffs are top-tier. I especially loved the Colombia Geisha; it’s a must-try if it’s available. Pro tip: Ask for the barista’s recommendation! I wish I had discovered this gem earlier in my trip. I’ll definitely be back as soon as possible.

The pastries were so lovely and fresh, and the place itself is such a nice cosy vibe! Ordered the macadamia financier and a yuzu madeleine. Both were so nice. The jam inside the madeleine was a nice surprise too!

Canelés, dacquoise, and cheesecake—these are the must-try desserts in Melbourne! ❤️ Today I ordered the Black Forest cake, and as expected, it was delicious. Having it with a smooth, flavourful cappuccino made my weekend absolutely perfect.

Visited today and the people working there were incredibly kind. Walked in at a quiet moment and next thing you know the place was packed out about half an hour before their 4pm closing time. It seemed like most of the customers were regulars as they were warmly conversing with the staff - always a good sign! Had a canele, madeleine, banoffee tart and pecan cookie, and everything was great but the pecan cookie was an absolute standout for me and is one of the best cookies I’ve had (and I’ve had a few including Sydney’s Butterboy and New York’s Levain). Also had their specialty tangerine latte and matcha and they were both good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be coming back for the coffee and treats. It’s unfortunate that it took us this long to find The Flour but have no doubt that it will be one of our regular spots. Thank you to the team for being so warm and serving up amazing food and drinks! Edit: went back today and had a vanilla almond financier and blood orange tart and both were incredible. IMO The flour is criminally underrated and is definitely in the running for Melbourne’s best bakery.

Amazing speciality bakery featuring Financier, Madeleine, cakes, biscuits and tarts. The coffee was great and the team were all very friendly and knew the locals well. Tried a few items and was very impressed as it was worth the small wait. The small cafe had indoor and outdoor seating along with a communal table. Definitely visit if you are in the area.
