The BEST Banh Mi and cinnamon scroll in Melbourne!!! Service is always incredible and their friendly attitude is contagious! I will only ever come here if I want a Banh Mi or scroll 💛💛🙏🙏

finally visited hung's after seeing the incredible reviews and i wish i had come earlier. the service is so friendly and fast, even though there is often a line out the door on weekends. the banh mi are reasonably priced and the tofu roll can be made vegan - just specify when ordering and they will ensure to remove the mayo/butter. the tofu itself is so delicious, i have no idea how they get it to taste so good. i love ordering here and then going to eat in fitzroy gardens nearby! definitely one of my go-to spots for banh mi now.

I organised an office lunch for 30 people from Hung’s bakery. Lachlan is great to deal with from the beginning. We ordered varieties of banh mi, Vietnamese tofu, chicken and pork noodle bowls, Cinnamon buns. Oh wow! Everything is delicious, fresh and generous in portions! Everyone loves the cinnamon buns! So fluffy and soft, not sweet. Thanks Hung’s. I will be back for more catering.

Decent banh mi, with reviews inflated by the super friendly service :D Got the crispy pork banh mi: Pros: very decent portion size, and good mix of filling. Owner is friendly and banh mi is easily customisable - I got extra chilli and they didn’t hold back which is nice. Cons: Pate wasn’t coming through much and the hoisin sauce was slightly overpowering giving it a sweeter than usual flavour. All in all a decent banh mi, but not 5/5 in my books.

2025: Finally I got to try Hung's, I was previously a Phuoc Thanh loyalist, whilst running the gauntlet. The owner is overly friendly, welcoming you to his store in a cheerful demeanour. These rolls have a nice ratio of vegies and meat filling, with great flavours encased within a crispy baguette. There's a reason why Hung's is rated highly in most top Banh Mi lists. ****
