Had the Szechuan calamari and a rump steak (medium well). The calamari was very tender and full of flavour. Really impressed that the steak was cooked medium well yet still juicy and satisfying. Great service and a lovely atmosphere and would definitely return.

We picked this restaurant to celebrate my sister-in-law’s anniversary. According to her feedback, the garlic bread, scallops, lamb skewers and chocolate fondant were the standouts. She thought the cauliflower was a bit of a shortcut — it seemed blanched before being grilled, and she felt it would taste much better if it were grilled from scratch. I've had the 200g Monte fillet steak 3 times, and I think this time was the best.

The garlic bread entrée was very yum and a definite standout.
I ordered the eye fillet steak medium-well, however it came out closer to well done. The kangaroo skewer was nice, though the top pieces were a bit tough. $6 for a sauce on the side of the steak felt expensive (despite the generous portion), and $3 for a small pot of BBQ sauce was also quite pricey. It would be nice if sauce was included with the steak.
It was also very hot inside the restaurant, and several people around us were commenting on the same thing.
Service was fine but nothing particularly memorable.

The food was absolutely DIVINE! If it wasn’t for the food, this restaurant would be poor. The service was terrible for how expensive the New Years package was. It was like they were rushing to get us out at some points, and completely ignoring us and forgetting about our food and drinks the other times. The atmosphere was really off too. It’s supposed to be a fancy restaurant, yet they played Gangnam Style after some jazz? And Dynamite by BTS not long after. Super weird.
In summary, the chefs are magnificent and the food they create is impeccable, but it’s like they got people off the streets and told them to run food. Actually, it might even be better service if they did get people in from the streets. It really is such a shame with how amazing the food is.

We had an incredible meal at The Meat & Wine Co in Southbank. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was classy yet comfortable, with beautiful views and a great vibe throughout the restaurant.
The steaks were cooked to absolute perfection –tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The sides and sauces complemented everything perfectly, and the Dessert was the perfect way to finish off an amazing evening.
