This meal was outstanding from start to finish. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. The octopus was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the BBQ burnt ends were pure perfection—sweet, smoky, and rich with an unbelievable texture. Even the bread deserves special mention; it was the best I’ve ever tasted. The service was just as exceptional as the food. Every detail was handled with care, and the interactions with the chefs and bartenders felt personal and genuine, adding so much to the overall atmosphere. The combination of incredible food, warm hospitality, and an inviting ambiance made this experience truly unforgettable. Overall, absolutely amazing. Would fly from Perth just to eat here again!!!

Travelling solo for my Birthday and I had booked this table months ago. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. The room was a great temp and the tables were well spread out and not sat on top of each other. Staff were super friendly and happy to answer any questions that I had. Had the bone marrow to start, was not alot of marrow on it so the crisps could had had bone marrow butter on them but the topping was tasty. I tried a different cut of meat to what I normaly get and was pleasantly suprised at the flavour, very well cooked and so tasty. It was the Stone Axe Waygu Flank cooked medium as recommended. Paired with the charred greens. Had a the creme caramel to finsh and it was delish. Cocktails were perfect. Highly recommend. My server (Charlie) was quick and very helpful and such a lovely person that it made the whole dinner a great vibe. The whole staff that I encountered were happy and gave great service.

Absolutely delicious… Best steak in Melbourne, no question. Why did I only discover this place just now..? Out of all the restaurants I’ve been to, this place has one of the most convincing chef’s selections — literally all the best dishes in one place. The bread, brisket, and steak were particularly remarkable and highly recommended. Service was also excellent; our server was genuinely attentive and warm.

Came here from Brisbane for my birthday for a special dinner, which we outlined in the booking notes. The food was alright, the entrees and sides were definitely the star of the meal, which is quite disappointing for a steak restaurant. Getting the sauce on the steak instead of on the side is an interesting choice to make especially when someone orders a steak worth over $120… definitely should ask what they prefer before hand. The eye fillet was very tender and flavourful while the rib on the bone was just alright. Sadly the service was extremely sub par. The greeting when we arrived was good from the man at the front and he wish me a happy birthday. But, when we got a server the girl was very uninterested and couldn’t care less. We got the menus and within 2 minutes she was back and ready to take our order without even going through any of the specials. When I asked what specials there were she just pointed to the board… When going to an upscale restaurant for a birthday you would expect a happy birthday from your server at the minimum. For spending over $400 and travelling from Brisbane I’m quite dissatisfied. Our first time at the restaurant was worlds better than this experience.

We were referred to Meat Maiden by a Melbourne resident. Made reservations and were seated promptly. Our server, Ken, explained the ala carte menu as well as the Maiden’s Mood selections, which we ended up ordering. For $100 AUD, we had an amazing selection of 5 servings and 2 sides. We were a party of 3, but it definitely was enough for 4 people. Had a nice selection of wine that Ken recommended along with some smoky old fashioned. Def the best meal we had in Melbourne during our 5 days. Ken was amazing, kept a constant eye on our table. Great conversation with him and we never felt rushed. Hope to go again on our next visit. Pics of food and my shirt after we ate.
