Aegli

Melbourne is widely known as the second biggest Greek city and has in general a vast array of really good Greek restaurants. Aegli serves up a more modern style menu, but is well worth a test for a night out. The 3 and 4 courses set menu offers a great selection and variety of dishes to choose from and is easy to share amongst friends and family!! The dishes are very well balanced and prepared and tasty. Service is friendly and overall atmosphere very nice with a good simple wine list and a few interesting beers and cocktails!! Located in South Melbourne parking was fine as after 6 PM it’s free. The restaurant has a lovely area for a larger family celebration or in the main dining room for a smaller affair!! Enjoy and I shall for sure return!! Cheers

One word - delicious! Came here for my birthday dinner tonight and I'm so glad we came here tonight. Everything from the ambience to the service and to the food was immaculate. I was greeted by chef/owner upon entry. He was so lovely, and he comes around to the tables to check in and explain what had been served. Oh, and the sour cherry mojito mocktail - YUM. I'm still thinking about the hot spelt bread and taramasalata dip 🤤 This place is definitely what was promised - hellenic refined. I've always loved Greek cuisine and this place triumphs. Can't wait to be back!

Best new restaurant in Melbourne - the owner’s passion for high quality dining reflected in the food and fit out. Staff were lovely and accommodated our vegetarian dietaries. What we ordered: -Hot spelt bread -Magiritsa Mushroom and truffles -Pie of the Day -Hilopites (pasta swapping lobster for mushroom/truffle) -Sour Trahanas -Butternut pumpkin and pear -Rice Pudding -Diples pastry w custard cream Thank you again to the wonderful team at Aegli for a lovely night and cannot wait to be back again with our family and friends!🌟

I wish to give millions stars. Super ⭐️ 🌟 This is GREEK food. Service was super excellent. Very attentive in every aspects. Seating is spacious. Atmosphere is pleasant. Heavenly delicious dishes with fresh and high quality ingredients. So remarkable 🌈💯

This was the best dining experience we have had in Melbourne. The food is hearty, thoughtful and innovative. Every dish is perfected, and I loved that nothing came out how we imagined it - even the horta is made so special. The greek wine was also beautiful. The owner and our waitress were both so lovely. We look forward to coming back soon!
