Late December 2025 What has happened to Huxtaburger? My partner ordered home delivery. My fried chicken Rachel burger was so ordinary. Maybe there are new staff? Maybe this place has changed hands recently? My burger had a thin slice of chicken, tbat was so small it only filled half my burger bun. Something was missing? Flavour, yep, but the burger tasted cheap, with poor quality ingredients and the cheese was awful. Gone are the days when you used to get a full boneless super thick chicken piece in your burger. And tasty ingredients. My partners Huxtaburger beef burger wasn't any better. What a shame. As a long term customer, this place has really gone downhill. ____________________________________ 2020 I had a grilled chicken burger here today. The service was good. I ordered a Rachel Burger w grilled chicken, jalapeños, siracha mayo, cheese, aioli, lettuce and tomato. The burger had some spice and the jalapeños were good. It was messy to eat w all the aioli but it was really tasty. The burgers are consistently good at Huxtaburger.

Vegan options available 🍔💚 Three types of burgers, chips and onion rings are available for vegans. Both Chad's and Megan's vegan burgers were delicious. Their chips are super crispy and the best I've ever had. I definitely recommend getting the large size.🍟!!

I had some strife with the ATE club rewards barcode, however the guy at the counter sorted me out for the birthday discount manually. Such a legend! I had the loaded fries: a huge serving with bacon & ranch which was awesome. The dining area has ample seating and a huge window to people watch on Smith Street.

I couldn't believe they have been doing their thing since 2011, keeping it real at pre-COVID prices. Honestly I think the burgers are cheaper than McDonalds?! They use Victorian grass-fed beef patties, fresh produce, and yes — plant-based “BUDS” patties too, so my vegetarian friend wasn't left out. Shr ordered the Megan (plant-based) and she shouted its praises. I went for the Rudy adding a potato cakes and loading it with the gravy chips and a chicken tenders which absolutely made it next level good. I just wish the beef patties were just a little thicker. For burger lovers, the beef option delivers (I didn't order the chicken) and for vegetarians, they actually make a burger you’ll want with a choice of Buds, a quinoa patty or a fake chicken alternative so all bases are covered. Bottom line: if you’re after a burger that just works, at a place that just vibes, this is for you.

The food was delicious, with a relaxed and chilled ambience and friendly staff. We ordered the two burger combo, which came with large chips, fried chicken, and two drinks, great value for sharing. I tried the Britney burger, which was juicy, tasty, and very filling. The fried chicken was also crisp and well seasoned, and the chips were perfectly cooked. Another big plus is that they’re open late. We visited after 9 PM on a Friday night, straight after a show at 3CR radio, and it was a perfect spot to grab a bite and unwind. A great choice on Smith Street if you’re after a casual, tasty burger meal with good vibes.
