A big problem within their online ordering system, as the menu doesn’t clearly list all ingredients.🙄❌ We’re guided to order through the online system, and I had “Japchae” on that day. However, the menu did NOT indicate that the dish contained beef (as shown on the receipt). I realised it was “Beef Japchae” after checking the menu on their website. Due to religious reasons, I cannot eat beef, so this was a very disappointing experience. ☹️😢 I hope they can review and improve the accuracy and transparency of the online menu to prevent similar situations from happening again.

The service was good, but all the food tasted below average, and especially the spoons were not cleaned properly (see my photo), which had a piece of rice stuck on it. The chicken was soggy and smelly, tasting like they used old cooking oil. The spicy seafood soup was spicy, even though I requested less spicy, and you can’t find anything to eat besides one overcooked prawn and two mussels. This was my first and also my last time eating here. Please clean your spoon properly for your future customers.

Food was actually well made and delicious, just a shame it came out cold. Also the cheese bomb tteokbokki is not at all with the same cheese as in the photo from the restaurant menu. The poor waitress seemed to be the only one working and somehow having to manage serving people, taking food out, setting tables, etc. the restaurant needs more staff and support from management.

This Korean restaurant really brought the authentic flavors bold, spicy, and full of character. The fried chicken came in several unique flavors, all surprisingly delicious in their own way. What amazed me most was the robot frying the chicken, which made the whole experience even more fun and impressive.

SamSam Chicken in Melbourne is a hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious, and the jjajang myum noodles was rich, flavourful, and definitely a must-try (my personal favourite). The portions are generous for the price, which makes it great value. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere was really nice and welcoming. What made the experience even more unique was seeing their robot serve fried chicken such a fun and interesting touch that added to the vibe. Highly recommend if you’re after tasty food, with a great price
