You mainly visit for the atmosphere and place to gather away from the noise. I recommend eat elsewhere come here after for drinks :)

been my favourite bar in the city for a long time but i’ve had a couple of bad experiences with the staff getting impatient with the pace of drink buying (and not when it’s been at all busy) and I unfortunately can’t take my friends here anymore because of the sour taste left in their mouths.. I understand that overheads need to be met but I feel like the attitude could be slightly more relaxed..

Tucked away in the heart of Melbourne, Hell’s Kitchen is an old-school bar I absolutely love to bits. The staff are always friendly, and they know how to mix a seriously good cocktail. Joker Poker nights are an absolute blast, and their snack selection, portion sizes, and prices are all spot-on. Mon and Russ are true bar legends who make you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. This is a must-visit spot when you’re in Melbourne – whether you’re here for a cheeky drink, secret Susie date, or just babes and booze.

Such an awesome bar for locals or tourists. The bartenders are some of the nicest people I’ve met. Good selection of everything including beer and spirits. Food was great too, I tried a katsu burger that was delicious. Great central location with lots of other spots around.

Great spot for a quick bite in Melbourne’s CBD. Hidden upstairs on the popular food street Centre Place, this bar/restaurant has a great view of the street below without the hustle and bustle. Service was really friendly and I can see they do get busy on week day lunches. There is an extensive bar so I imagine evenings can be a fun stop. Menu was nice spins on lunch classics as well as some nice specials. I enjoyed my meatball roll. Well priced and it was a nice mini break between busy shifts at work. Recommended.
