Very authentic Sichuan/Chongqing flavours (me from this region) rarely find food at this level outside China, plus the service and dining environment are easily 5-star.

As said previously, the tables need refreshing but the waitress are welcoming and helpful. We did not get adventurous with the traditional Chinese Menu but our 2 dishes were absolutely beautiful and many various flavours. Pleasantly surprised, we definitely will going back.

We almost didn't eat here because of the cheap and nasty automatic doorbell greeting and menu presentation at the entrance. On being seated we were handed some decent sized pictorial, but very worn menus that could well do with renewing. The tables around us also needed a good coat of laquer. But we decided to give it a go and I'm so glad we did. The food was the most delicious Chinese food we've had in l don't know how long, possibly ever! On the downside, the waitress was a bit pushy, almost to the point of annoying, but perhaps she was just trying to be overly helpful. I think it was more a communication thing. I pointed out to the waitress that we had asked for pork fried rice (l'd have preferred plain boiled but l don't think it was an option) and queried where the pork was a it appeared to be missing - she pointed to a darker, grain-of-rice-sized, possibly meat, and said that that was the pork. There was possibly more of it somewhere there and it was supposed to contain minced pork, so l guess she was correct. In all honesty though, it was delicious. The black pepper steak and kung pao chicken were both to die for. It was one of the most expensive Chinese meals I've had lately, at $109.50 for 2 mains a fried rice and 2 Coronas (beers), but absolutely worth it as the portion sizes were generous and as previously stated, the food we delicious. I'm already thinking of an excuse to travel from Bendigo to Melbourne again, just so l can eat there again. Oh hell, who needs one? I'll just go to have a meal there again!

Interior of the restaurant looks great, nice atmosphere at night especially. But the best part is of course the food. The Sichuan lamb ribs are authentic and absolutely delicious. They are perfectly cooked and come out quickly, and the best part is undoubtedly all the seasoning, you can really feel the numbing of the Sichuan peppercorn as well as taste the flavor and feel the spice. The scallion pancakes are good too and so is the Mapo Tofu, it is exactly what you would want from a good Mapo Tofu

Very nice dark themed interior with neon light decor and comfy lounges. Food was fantastic, lamb ribs were full of authentic flavours. Not super spicy, perfect balance so you can taste all the different spices/dimensions. Tea smoked fried rice was also a hit, full of taste. Highlight was the spicy fish fillets, superb taste and the portion was enormous! Will be back :)
