Late night laneway perfection... so Melbourne! Bar Ampere is an absolute gem tucked away in a Melbourne CBD laneway and the fact that it’s open until 3am is a huge win for hungry nocturnals like myself. Such a wonderful little venue with a small but hits-the-spot food offering and an extensive drinks menu. The vibe is effortlessly cool and very Melbourne. The undercover outdoor area is cosy and perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends. Service was wonderful and welcoming making the experience even better. Enjoyed a beef burger and steak sanga at 12:30am, paired with a refreshing blood orange spritz. Honestly, you can’t go wrong. This place nails late-night dining and drinks. Highly recommend!

It’s kinda like a trendy Fitzroy bar but in the city. The drinks were amazing. I had a Ling Autumn Ice Tea & Grapefruit Spritz with mezcal & they were both incredible. One of the bartenders was really nopey but the other 2 were super personable & fun

We were walking past but then turned back to check out the beats. One thing led to another and we ended up having a burger, a few drinks and got super looked after by Jack at the bar. This place merges peak local art and bar culture, totally the highlight of the day and highly recommended.

The homemade ginger beer is a must try. Chicken burger was good, not outstanding. The fries were amazing! Not greasy, crispy on the outside and like mashed potatoes creamy on the inside. Steak tartare is also a must try. Soft beef and really yum with the sourdough with olive oil.
