We stayed at the Rendezvous Hotel Melbourne for one night, and it was exactly what we needed. The building itself is stunning, beautifully renovated, grand, and full of character, with those massive high ceilings that make everything feel spacious and calm. Our room had plenty of space for us to settle in and the whole atmosphere added a real sense of elegance and occasion to our stay.
The service at the front desk was exceptional. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They were more than happy to accommodate our request for a late checkout, and nothing felt like too much trouble.
We also had lunch the next day at Ms Ava, and it was a highlight. The food was delicious, generously portioned, well priced, and arrived quickly. The lovely woman who served us made the experience even more memorable, warm, attentive, and truly delightful. We won’t forget her kindness.

We booked 2 nights at this hotel for my birthday. Check in was easy and efficient, staff were friendly and the whole place had a nice feel. The hotel is of historical significance, so it was rather grand in appearance and was well maintained/clean etc. The fellow in the bar was lovely and friendly - helpful, but not over-bearing. The drinks were generous and a great range on offer. The room we had was nice, but our only view was a wall unfortunately. The facilities were great, comfy bed, good wifi etc. Our only complaint would be the noise coming from the air conditioner. I actually had to wear ear plugs to drown out the noise. The location is awesome - right across the road from the station and plenty of trams nearby. We would definitely stay again, but perhaps request a room with less noise where possible.

Firstly what a beautiful building in the cbd. Secondly I could not fault the rooms, the customer service, in room dining experience or location. The breakfast in the basement restaurant was lovely as well. The staff were professional and very accommodating. Nice quiet space to start your day. We paid $120 for the night which was super cheap. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had the most amazing New Year’s Eve at Rendezvous last night. We booked a suite in the historic part of the hotel and it was very beautiful with gorgeous stained glass windows and wood features. Our teenage daughter had a trundle bed in the lounge area and it was very comfortable, as was our bedroom. We then attended the fabulous NYE event in the grand ballroom and we were delighted with the elegance, devoted service and brilliant DJ who also sang and is very talented. The canapés were delicious and there was even a snacks buffet so we were spoiled by all the treats. The drinks and champagne were constantly flowing in beautiful glasses. We were in a group of friends and we were all so impressed with every aspect of the evening. The balloon drop in the vestibule at midnight was a magical touch. Thank you so much everyone at Rendezvous hotel Melbourne. You all made the start of 2026 spectacular. We will most definitely be back next New Year!

We felt very welcoming and well served from all of the staffs at this hotel. Buffet breakfast has satisfying options and services are warm and professional. Highly Recommend to book it. The cocktails in the bar are delicious. Our Room on level 8 is a bit small but it’s acceptable. Staff put us at back side of the building which is very quiet and peaceful. In the morning, I saw the cleaner at front door work hard to make every metal and glasses sparkly shiny. Staying here feels like returning to an old film — warm, elegant, and deeply human, far removed from today’s automated, impersonal service. Me and my boyfriend both had such romantic time in this hotel and truly wish to come back to stay longer.
