I have been going to Guzman y Gomez for a long while now - The consistency and quality of the food at the Box Hill store is fabulous - everything is fresh and zesty Served quickly and always with a smile . We have had the odd cold chip serving but these have been replaced instantaneously with an apology. The place is always meticulously clean and has such a good energy to the environment. All the staff are always happy and friendly and seem to really enjoy working there.I have seen the management team there on occasion and they are always pitching in and leading the team by example. I really congratulate you guys - This is how a restaurant should run. you really do things right. Thank you for the wonderful food and amazing service

If you could give minus star ratings I would and then some! Against my better judgment I decided to order from here again, I have ordered from here multiple times and am yet to receive what I actually ordered!
They charge you extra for items which you never get and get an extra serve of what you ask to be excluded.
Tonight it was NO black beans 90% of my meal was black beans, no jalapeños and the pieces of chicken could be counted on one hand. There was so many beans it ruined my whole meal.

One of the best GYG branch. The food has always been beyond expectations compared to other GYGs in terms of freshness , portion size and taste. However , this is subjective to who is working on the day. I know when certain staff are working the food will be amazing and when certain staff are working , just skip ordering.
They will mess up your order or give you something not worth paying your hard earned money.
The service at times is frustrating because staff are too busy having a chat with each other (which I am not against) but not when there are so many people waiting to be attended to.

Do the staff here even know how to roll a burrito? The last few times I’ve been here somethings been wrong. Today, they missed my guacamole that I paid extra for (not the first time). I used to love GYG when they first opened here but the service and quality has dropped off. Something needs to change.

I ordered two burritos a chips and the side corn dish along with two hot chocolates. The chips were dry and soggy as well as the two hot chocolates tasted so watery compared to other outlets. GYG hot chocolates has been one of my favourites especially the fountain gate store, but this was so bad!
