Friendly staff suggested the Matcha Yuzu croissant as they normally sell out early in the morning.
Purchased and absolute gem! Crispy flaky on the outside. Creamy and rich with flavour without being overly sweet. Great balance and definitely recommended!

Came in with high hopes as you can smell the freshly baked bread as you walk in. Tried the cinnamon bun ($7.50) and batch brew ($4.50)
However was left slightly disappointed. I prefer my cinnamon bun softer, and this was way too dry, and the edges were burnt leaving a sour dry aftertaste. The cream on the cinnamon bun was too overpowering, would have preferred a lighter glaze but this was a heavy dallop- tasted zesty tangy sweet with some subtle sourness and thick and made it a bit messy to eat.
Was more on the dry and heavier side, unbalanced dessert, not that pleasant to eat. Parking was so hard too, located on a tight lane way. The batch brew was standard.
The other pastries do look promising so wonβt mind coming back trying their other items though, maybe just tried the wrong thing.

REVIEW:
β€ Favourites from Cobb Lane were the:
1. Chilli & Cheese Twist. There's something so iconic about a spicy melted cheese that transcends time and language barriers. You can't go wrong with this!
The twist shape was excellent in getting all the flavours in all of the crevices.
2. Pistachio cookie. So good that I had to buy one takeaway to bring home. It was a guilty trip into a sweet, nutty and salty chaos - abandon all sense of health.
π Everything else was good. Some like the Ham, cheese and sun dried tomato would've benefitted from a bit of heat because baked goods don't taste the same when they've been sitting out for a while.
Parking is limited in street (but possible), while there's plenty of on the main road.
Nonetheless, we grabbed our food and walked 10 minutes to a nearby park where we devoured it on our picnic mat. β
It's a shame that there's no dine in option and the store limits the amount of people to 3 at once. I did feel a bit of pressure to make my choices to keep the line moving.
in general, the line is fast paced so you're not waiting for too long. πΌ

Cobb Lane is one of the gems of the Western suburbs of Melbourne. Their products are of the utmost quality, and their service is always ππ» I've personally tried to visit many bakeries in Melbourne, and Cobb Lane is still in my top 3. My favourite pastries, are the almond croissant and the carrot cake.
